After the conclusion of the fourth day of matches, a random draw will seed the Knockout Stage. The four teams who will have advanced out of their group in 1st place will be randomly assigned a yet-to-be-determined 2nd place team from a different group.

i was wrong then but that’s honestly so shit bc they have to play the 1st knockout game on the day they finish the group stage so they basically have no time to prep

you clearly have not been following along my friend. First playoff match is NOT on the same day as the last group game

Unless they changed it again. In their first format update, they said they were able to change the format from a 4 team playoff to a 8 team playoff without having the end of group play and start of playoffs on the same day. They said this was possible by eliminating group finals.

they have at least an extra day to prep, but honestly all for the better to avoid intentional throwing

expect it is, one of the playoffs is on the same day as 2 group games, thats why they had the shit format first. but riot will most likely make it so that they dont start with the first playoff game so that no team has to play 2 games a day

Its prolly the two groups that would be playing in the second day of the quarter finals, therefore all teams will have a day to prepare.

Its only one quarter finals that day, probably the 2nd of group a vs whoever. Since then noone has to play 2 games a day
