Do you think that Valorant can succeed in China?

I'm pretty sure there are still PC Fps's in China but I'm not sure how many would switch if Valorant once China and Tencent authorize it. I think the fact that it's from Riot games should at least bring quite a few. China could be a massive playerbase in the near future. But they still don't have official Chinese voicelines. Just really odd.

No cuz these Asian Countries like japan, china, korea are not good to live at. you can say they have a scripted life. they go to school, have only a few hours free time and the rest is learning, sleeping so no grinding and stuff. And after school they start working at very young ages and they do work 6 Days a week each day 10-12 hours. It's up to their Parents. If they see no future in your Hobby, you aren't allowed to practise it. They advice you some other "Hobbies" by sending you to a Cooking Academy or whatever they think would be best for you.

Say youve never watched an esport without saying youve never watched an esport

the asian countries i mentioned never had a huge esport community except china in LoL. there are even csgo players in korea, japan but you will never hear something about them cuz the esport scene is so small and nobody cares about this sports over there. its fact dude! if you dont believe keep dreaming! also chinas majority gamers was never interested in FPS and they never had a good team to start with in FPS Games.

its just funny because 2/3 countries you mentioned are the most dominant in like most big esports and the third is the most dominant in fighting games like you just dont have a point, espicially for fucking korea. Also while we are at it, like in terms of just like where esports is the biggest in the world the answer is probably korea just so we get that clear

im trying to say you are not wrong. there are good players but it's not a big deal in japan, china. people don't aknowledge them there as what we see them. Korea have become a tiktok country so its just natural they play vibrant games lmao. all they do is trash k-pop spam, cringe dancing in cosplays by showing as much as possible skin to attract the pervs. its a cheao society imo. japan is the opposite but slowly becoming a tiktok korea too. the number of players are very limited and if the young people feel like they have missed the train to being pro, they dont chase that dream and just focus on other things.

I'm sorry. But this take on Korea. Is quite possibly the worst take I've seen on this site. I am very disappointed.

whenever i watch tiktok i see koreans only almost bro. korean girls almost naked dance on short music tracks for obv. getting quick mass of followers. its just cheap imo cuz it gets spammed and copied daily from thousands of other koreans. at least japan is fighting to keep their traditions and culture while korea is evolving to a huge Las Vegas country.

to answer your question btw, im pretty sure atleast pre ow they were still playing crossfire (i believe they still are) and im pretty sure they were/are super fucking dominant internationally so if they switched yeh i could see them doing well in valorant. (as a side note i read somehwere just now that in 2018 it was the game with the biggest playerbase in terms of registered users so even if a fraction switched over they could still like just dominate numbers wise)

they like more games where you dont have to practise 24/7. if its simple and only skill matters, they will play it. for example Rock paper scissors is bigger in Japan than csgo in USA.

This is not quite the case in countries like Korea and Japan.
In Japan this is absolutely not the case because Japanese society doesn't function that way lmfao. I don't know what else to say.
Well, In Korea. No matter how much work you have. Surprising you still have enough time to grind. And honestly it's a pretty big form of entertainment. People can grind quite often because it's usually the only thing that they're grinding.

I'm not quite sure about China because I haven't researched China and I've never lived there.

i know japanese people myself and i lived there for 2 months! have friends living there. japanese people have a really busy day with work and school. also japanese people almost never change their job and do whatever they started their whole life and get good at it. ive met many young japanese people and none of them played mainstream games. you also see only babies playing pokemon or stuff while in europe 30-40 yos play that shit lmao

They don't play mainstream games. Because they aren't mainstream in Japan. Sony and Nintendo are the biggest game companies in Japan because of how much they've built up a brand. Also, you can be busy. And still play videogames. I said this for Korea. And I've lived in Korea. I am Korean American with both of my parents living in Korea. They know how hard the school life is. But even when there aren't PC bangs. A lot of them still find ways to play video games. Because for some, Video games are their main source of entertainment. So they'll find ways to put it in no matter what. It might be unhealthy idk. But people do it. And it still is a part of Korea. And honestly. Japan is less busy than Korea. It simply is the case. And Idgaf what you say. The Korean student life is much more busy and crammed. I'm not quite sure about the worklife in Japan but I believe that if Valorant just becomes a notable name in Japan. It can most definitely have many students playing it. We can also see Apex Legends getting more popular in Japan along with PC gaming. So it's not unreasonable to say that Valorant can definitely become something in Japan even though it already does have a remarkable player/fanbase in Japan.

i have japanese friends who doesnt even go to back to japan for vacation cuz they hate it so much. they have a suicidy forest and cringe laws like if you suicide throwing yourself in front of a train, your parents have to pay up to 2 Million Doller cuz that guy who killed himself blocked the Train traffic. they are cold bro. vietnam and other asia countries beside korea, china, japan are better to live at cuz they don't want you to work 6 days a week to have the right to exist.

we do work 6 days a week, 8hrs a day, that's just standard, what r u on? Also I'm sorry that your friends have bad experience, some of mine do too, it happens. But you are assuming that because some people are having bad experience, that must mean that the rest of that nation must be miserable.

8 hours is fair and cute. in japan and china they work 10+ hours daily. now find time to play games and rest

#29

dude that's standard, not including overtime which happens all the fucking time especially in my field with ad agencies and production houses. And even so, it's not a contest. We're not competing on who is more miserable. You cannot sound more like a person stuck in tunnel vision than you are rn. Again, I know your friends have bad exp, but you can't pretend that you know anything really.

its sad you say im baiting knowing korea spread trash k-pop with korean "cute" girls under tons of make up cosplaying anime like. theres a system behind k-pop and its not making good music to entertain. they just want the young people to get addicted to this stuff and be costumers for the rest of their life!

Yes.

China has a fairly robust esports scene and the restrictions are becoming more lax.

Overwatch just recently launched a big time league in China and worlds for LOL was going to be held in China (but COVID)

China is quickly becoming the biggest market for gaming in the world.

This other dude who is trying so desperately to say Korea (the biggest esports country in the world) and other Asian countries have “stict parents so they won’t be allowed to play.” Is just…. Yeah

I could say the same to you bro! Just because you have made some good experience, that mustn't mean the others had an easy life too.

I said nowhere that others had easy life. Nor that all I have are good exp. You know what, I'm tired. U can continue telling everybody on the internet whatever you want.
