I'm pretty sure there are still PC Fps's in China but I'm not sure how many would switch if Valorant once China and Tencent authorize it. I think the fact that it's from Riot games should at least bring quite a few. China could be a massive playerbase in the near future. But they still don't have official Chinese voicelines. Just really odd.

im trying to say you are not wrong. there are good players but it's not a big deal in japan, china. people don't aknowledge them there as what we see them. Korea have become a tiktok country so its just natural they play vibrant games lmao. all they do is trash k-pop spam, cringe dancing in cosplays by showing as much as possible skin to attract the pervs. its a cheao society imo. japan is the opposite but slowly becoming a tiktok korea too. the number of players are very limited and if the young people feel like they have missed the train to being pro, they dont chase that dream and just focus on other things.

They don't play mainstream games. Because they aren't mainstream in Japan. Sony and Nintendo are the biggest game companies in Japan because of how much they've built up a brand. Also, you can be busy. And still play videogames. I said this for Korea. And I've lived in Korea. I am Korean American with both of my parents living in Korea. They know how hard the school life is. But even when there aren't PC bangs. A lot of them still find ways to play video games. Because for some, Video games are their main source of entertainment. So they'll find ways to put it in no matter what. It might be unhealthy idk. But people do it. And it still is a part of Korea. And honestly. Japan is less busy than Korea. It simply is the case. And Idgaf what you say. The Korean student life is much more busy and crammed. I'm not quite sure about the worklife in Japan but I believe that if Valorant just becomes a notable name in Japan. It can most definitely have many students playing it. We can also see Apex Legends getting more popular in Japan along with PC gaming. So it's not unreasonable to say that Valorant can definitely become something in Japan even though it already does have a remarkable player/fanbase in Japan.

to answer your question btw, im pretty sure atleast pre ow they were still playing crossfire (i believe they still are) and im pretty sure they were/are super fucking dominant internationally so if they switched yeh i could see them doing well in valorant. (as a side note i read somehwere just now that in 2018 it was the game with the biggest playerbase in terms of registered users so even if a fraction switched over they could still like just dominate numbers wise)

they like more games where you dont have to practise 24/7. if its simple and only skill matters, they will play it. for example Rock paper scissors is bigger in Japan than csgo in USA.
