i mean i feel like the MxM is a hot take, but I still am not high on g2, most of the games they won, they looked super shaky and it was against teams who definitely weren't performing their best

SR is all speculation. new IGL sure. but they were terrible split one. I wouldn't rank them very highly yet.

I feel like G2's set plays are predictable. I feel like their run to the final in the MSI was a mixture of luck and experience. Teams like Moist and Oxygen looked better than G2 in terms of strats and set plays but G2 won based off of aim and some inexperience from these teams. I do want G2 to prove me wrong and do well in Split 2, but the competition has just become way tougher than it was.

Putting g2 below MxM is just delusion lmao. They went 4-1 in groups and got second in MSI, and beat MxM twice and TGRD. Wtf have moist done to be higher ranked than g2?

At least for dsg and sr you can speculate with new players they can be better... But even that is iffy. I think g2 are solidly third best right now and could even be 1st by the end of next split. But definitely not 6th or below MxM lmfao

thats your belief and thats cool, but I have confidence in the MxM core. the roster is about equally skilled and MxM has only recently been signed and given resources G2 has had more of and for longer. Its not unreasonable to think MxM will hit a stride

I respect it but I also think you're not giving g2 enough credit for what they've done in a short time + the caliber of players and coach. Shahz and dapr are champs, wippie and penny were on some very good teams, and OXY is a breakout star. This team is much more dangerous than MxM imo

MxM is a team that can improve with time. Players like Sym, Flyuh are sure to become better the more they play at this level.
We have seen what the players in G2 are capable of excepting Oxy right? Shahzam, Dapr, Wippie, Penny have all reached their peaks respectively and skill wise they aren't going to surpass their peaks by playing at the top of tier 2 atm. They can improve strat wise and that is what I am excepting from them in Split 2. It is not reasonable to rank them this low but at the end of Split 1 these are rankings I can accept considering how good teams like Oxygen and Moguls looked compared to the start of the Split. Don't you think G2 remained in the same place at the start and end of Split 1 barring Oxy's heroics?

Not at all, I think they clearly improved over the split in all aspects except their map pool. The 4 you mentioned have had very high peaks as the best teams in NA. V1 had a fire challengers split, qualified for LAN. shahz and dapr won a masters and several challengers after that. Not to mention that was against teams and players that are in VCT now.

Give this team time to improve their map pool. The players don't need to get better, the team does. And they will with immi and g2 infrastructure and willingness to pay for boot camps.
