women have been neglected in any kind of competition since humanity exists
on esports wouldn't be different
it's natural that they'll be worse then man, since they couldn't compete equally for a while
so those valorant female championships are to give an safe place for women to play and to help them to develop their gameplay

From the perspective of gender equality, women should compete with men on the same platform.
But the reality is that the female team is generally not strong enough. Therefore, in order to cater to a certain part of the society and the market, Riot gives women an extra privilege.
TBH, this is essentially against the idea of gender equality, cuz this is essentially based on the idea that "Female pros just cannot compete with male pros, so they need extra privileges."
Well way less females play these games on average so you will have less good players from which to make teams. I would assume that if you had a game w/ 50% of the playerbase being female, you would have some really good female teams. Gamechangers encourages more women to play/watch Valorant just like the inclusion of worse regions in major competitions does w/ people from those countries.
