They are pretty similar but i tried civ 2 and just couldnt get to grip after grinding mordhau.

Mordhau just feels more fluid and satifying. Tons of people just enjoy trolling which is a good laugh

The games goes on a major sale once every couple months, it is slowly dying due to lazy devs but can always find a couple full servers.

The only problem I have with mordhau is it's less dimensional than chivalry because they removed the backspinning. They added the chambering but that doesn't bring the same movement mechanics that you needed in chiv1. Chiv2 is just swingity swing.

What typa games u looking for? Bloodborne is my go to game to recommend anyone but is a ps4 exclusive, its also decently hard.

Hollow Knight is a great alternative, very similar but a platformer. (Very popular but worth)
Terraria is my fav game to come back and replay every few months.
Risk Of Rain 2 is one of my fav games to play alone and chill even though it is very chaotic
Nothing else coming to mind rn but check any of these out if u havent. All p popular
