I missed most of the matches yesterday because of work so now that I am goin back and watching, it's clear how much Shahz's calls helped them win the game yesterday. Shahz's attack calling has been particularly stellar - the best examples of this are when OXY is NOT getting the entries.
In the Moist match, moist got FK in 8 out of 12 rounds. G2 won 8 out of 12 rounds on their attack regardless.
In yesterday's ascent comeback, OXY went 1-12 on the attacking half as their only entry player. On their defense, TGRD won TEN FIRST ENGAGEMENTS, but G2 went 6-6 on their attack.
Additionally, in overtime on split - shahz's calling won them rounds 26 and 27 specifically. Round 26 - G2 down a player, shahz waits out NeT's lurk in mid and kills him, instantly full team rotates over to A during the hit. ShahZ gets the second frag of the round and team is holding site in a 4v3. Round immediately after, fast A play with only raze to dive - sliggy called out on his stream what a good change of pace and ballsy call this was. G2 just need one defense round on split to win the series.
Really impressed by shahz this MSI, he's calling like a world class IGL. Last year was a rough situation in SENtinels, but yesterday he really showed what his caliber is against a strong team with strong IGL in Valyn.
post match interview, dapr said this match was a battle of two strong IGLs, and when it goes this long and hectic, it comes down to noticing holes in enemy gameplan.
I think m80 win today based on map pool, but excited for the grand finals regardless.
