VCT has 2 splits
But anyway about your question it really does depend on each VCL, some is literally nothing like the Turkish one, but others have implemented a system of points. First split gives less points than the second one, but at the end of the year the team with most points goes to ascension/ is relegated on each league
at least for pacific, the winner of stage 2 gets to compete in the ascension tourney
