Every tournament, VLR decides who is the best player in the world from one freaking tournament. The world's best player can be defined by results and performances from multiple tournaments in a year. This forum site is just bandwagoning whoever performs well in one freaking tournament. You never know if they will continue to be the best in that role afterwards. The recency bias is crazy. Just wait for the entire year to finish and decide who is the world's best (ROLE) player for that year.

my point is that it just happened that he was on a 2nd winning roster, he didn't lead the team to the win the 1st time and he was the least impactful player the 2nd, he just cannot be the GOAT

This only applies if its based on an individual person. Val is a team game. If Chronicle is the actual GOAT, then why would people say Yay Derke Aspas are better?
His teammates were stronger both times so he got more "achievements". Chron isn't the goat, he's not that special. Great player though, but definitely not the GOAT.

The forum picks the best play per role each event due to the infrequency of international events.
The valorant meta also plays a part, it is developing way too much where you can almost see a clear improvement from each international event to another.

Aspas and Less are best players at the moment. Loud lost cuz Fnatic was the better team, but in terms of individual players its different. Just like Yay being the best when Loud beat Optic. In reality, Aspas Less > Leo Derke overall.
