CSGO has over 20 million users on Faceit in Europe alone. ALL serious players in CSGO, equivalent to Ascendant and above in Valorant (even though most dont understand the game until far higher ELO), EXCLUSIVELY play on Faceit, and everyone level 10 or above tries to play in hubs (ECL or Mythic). Valorant Ranked is totally unmoderated, it uses inefficient algorithms to police behavior. The problem ISNT smurfing: it's griefing, throwing, toxicity, hidden mmr, and a host of other issues. Players who never tasted level 10 on Faceit in CSGO have no idea of anything like FPL, ECL, or Mythic. These are highly regulated competitions, like that of an intermural league in other sports, totally unlike the ranked experience in CSGO or Valorant. Faceit itself does not have as much support, its about these independent hubs, which ALL pros, tier1-4, play in exclusively for CSGO. Most Valorant players don't come from CSGO and have no idea how much further developed those 3rd party systems are compared to every other esport. If they do come from CSGO, they may have a passing familiarity with Faceit, but no idea about FPL, ECL, or Mythic.
I hate to say it bro, I have 8 radiant gun buddies. Ive duo'd with your favorite streamers. I'm not 'unable to accept my real rank', I think rank is worthless in its current state. I am ashamed to equip my radiant gun buddies because how worthelss ranked is.
Faceit did not KILL CSGO, it made it stronger, far stronger. Having a robust competitive environment for pros AND casuals makes for fans wanting to watch more, be more involved in the game, learn and improve further. In India, there was no FPL, no ECL, no Mythic -- so even if you had played csgo, you would have no idea of what competitive experience CAN look like.
FPL, ECL, Mythic dont give gun buddies, they give CASH that can sustain new and benched talent alike. It infuses the community with cash, it is VITAL and totally missing in this game. But cash aside, they have admins to moderate, which is the biggest thing Riot doesn't have. Any excuse that Riot 'cant' moderate the game and has to rely on algorithms because 'there's to many players' is circular logic: there's too many players on alts, and they want those high numbers to show to sponsors, even tho AT LEAST half of the 22 million 'active monthly users' are alt accounts. Riot can at least offer a subscription service that guarantees minimum account levels and game moderation (AS FACEIT, FPL, ECL, AND MYTHIC DO).
Wake up, get Riot's boot out of your mouth, think for yourself.
