And how is that an issue for TSM?
Actual W since they can return to just being TSM and keep the money that has already been given to them with the sponsorship
I dont think its all paid up front though, I think it was 10mil over X years but I could be wrong on that
and looking forward, now they need to find a sponsor to replace FTX, and their brand is not what it was when they signed that deal (pre Regi/DL public blowout + employee abuse and tax scamming)
Its actually worse for TSM than I thought:
The deal is for 10 years and $21 million per year (for a total of $210 million)
So they made a good chunk of money, but theyre also missing out on a LOT of money in the coming years if they don't find someone else that wants their naming rights for around that price
TSM aka “Truly Somewhat Mediocre” is a North American team that consistently underperforms in all international tournaments. It is specifically known for having a weak early, mid, and late-game.
FTX forced a round 3 op dry peeked tiles and got headtapped with a marshall from tree
Then DC'd
Does this affect TSM, like getting 1 tapped by sherrif with spectre full shield in A main?
TSM died that round, needed a buy for round 4 but FTX tanked their econ now they need to save again and go down 0-4
its like your trolling phoenix disconnecting
it makes the game 4v5 but its still better than him being still there
Why u calling TSM an L. No one expected FTX to be like this. Sad for the people who lost money especially the small accounts who just started out.
just talking shit for the sake of talking shit, no one actually blames TSM for signing it
their L is the sponsorship money theyre not gonna get
They still got 21 mill out of it, so theyre basically gonna lose the money they never had (the rest of 210m deal)
Its an L for esports.
The scene is very unprofitable.
most orgs are now switching to a CC/clothing brand model which has proven to be very successful.
death of order? cause by lack of merch sales.
Teams like c9/100t/fnc all push their merch heavily and it pays well.
Its hard to rely on outside funding constantly, they need to start providing more revenue to show for it
