People were criticising liquid for running unusual comps during their run to qualify for EMEA playoffs. I feel they need to try innovate as they won’t beat the top teams in Europe using standard comps. This is how they made Iceland, Sliggy their coach created unusual comps that teams didn’t know how to deal with it.

I feel just the opposite. They are absolute gods that could beat most of top teams if they just run normal comps.

Yes comp innovation is good, but forcing your star players off duelists isn't the best idea.

Just look at Sentinels and Acend comps and use which one is best for your players. 200iq.

Sliggy is an amazing coach.

When I first started paying attention to the eu scene liquid was an inconsistent team that failed to impress.

They have kept the majority of their players and slowly gotten better and better.

They have unique lineups with viper and they play many different styles.

liquid is a perfect example of why you should try to change rosters as little as possible and how much of an impact a good coach can have.

running unusual comps isn't bad, but those kayo comps were bad. no one to follow up on the flashes

It's not about being different. You need to play the busted Agents otherwise you are missing out. Not playing Jett is a big troll for example(100T prior to Berlin) also not playing Sova on Ascent is a big troll(Liquid in the last qualifiers)...
The creativity should be in the strats and team coordination.

no duelist = bad idea on haven ( unless you wanna get 13-4'd by second NA seed with a stand in), if so good job sliggy!
