Even if valve can maintain this game like riot does with val with constant updates, it will only split the community.

Competitively, val just had franchising and challengers league is also set so it isnt dying anytime soon. Any org entering CS now will only face losses unless they acquire a team full of tier 1 pros like c9 did which is so tough. Also val is more worldwide, in cs its only EU and CIS which offer competition to each other.
