The last three teams should be revealed in the coming weeks, including at least one North American squad.

The eight teams will be placed into a group stage on Dec. 9. Those matches will be played exclusively in a standard Bo3 format that will place the two best teams in the semifinals and four other squads in the quarterfinals, while the bottom two teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

The second day of the tournament will be reserved for the quarterfinals, where Home Ground will pivot to its signature Home and Away structure. In these Bo5 matches, each team picks a "home" map. If one of the teams wins both home maps they are awarded the match win. If not, the match continues as normal. The final day of Home Ground, Dec. 10, will host the semifinals and grand final.

The third iteration of Home Ground was revealed earlier in August, as the "final act" of the 2022 season, being the final international tournament of the year. For the first time, Red Bull will invite an undisclosed number of North American teams to Home Ground, hosted in Manchester's Victoria Warehouse.

There will be cosmetic content drops available throughout the tournament, according to the press release. The prize pool distribution has not yet been announced.
