no, fnc best run was when they won the first worlds lmao
no, majors are usually sponsored by the game developer so nope.
yes it is rare for off season tournaments to do that simply because other TOs dont have the money for it. this tournament started with piggybacking on the results of the actual vct split so it looked legit, but it will never be because of how closed the vct system of riot is.
yes it is mickey mouse. teams legit try in off season events too.
crazy how its the orgs, players, staff that get the most criticism when its riot that licensed the game for ewc, and this is not riot's first year in ewc.
i searched and bro also just got signed less than a month ago, thats insane
more like org cup, basically ewc will host different esports tourneys for different games (not just val) and org gets points each time they win or get a good placing. org that gets the most points get extra prize money on top of the money they get from each game. so yeah while it is a mickey tourney for the game, it is kinda important for the orgs.
if valorant org, falcons 100% biggest backing, unlimited money, just buy the best rosters in each esport ez win. only thing stopping them in valorant is riot.
its mickey mouse tourney with just big money, no prestige.
man i have so much respect for zeish, engh and saadhak then i see these fans camping on the liquid victory tweet and i immediately feel repulsed.
kats o7
OMG
the fear of getting relegated for top teams + opportunities for some random team to go on a run yeah but most of all i just dont like how now, a team loses a few games and theyre out. there are barely any 3rd party tournaments that can help the team develop and grow yet riot expects these orgs to put out content and grow their fanbase, and how difficult that would be if you are not winning anything.
"All Clubs were selected through a rigorous evaluation process that reviewed nearly 200 applications. This included assessing their competitive track record in the Club Championship in 2024, their potential across multiple games, social media presence, fan engagement, and their strategic plans for activating their global esports audience. Eight Clubs received direct invitations based on their EWC 2024 Club Championship ranking, while the remaining spots were allocated through an open application process. Nineteen Clubs joined for the first time, and 21 returned from the inaugural year."
the 8 clubs were falcons, liquid, bds, vitality, t1, faze, gg, navi.
kru either did not apply or wasnt accepted.
only 8 teams were invited, the rest all applied.
isnt fnc partnered with another t2 team? or is there a big conflict of sched?
geng with the cn buff 💀
this, an actual serious comment, and yes it is fairly common in jobs that require a lot of travel
nats
XD
when the entire team looks like its falling apart how do you even judge them individually
it's mental, maybe a break would help him
man
YES
engh revenge for that split OT
saadhak most valuable player in vct
lol sliggy doesnt attack players directly like that 💀
is this the guy that posted some vile stat stuff that even boaster and fns asked to delete
saadhak is such a goat
bruh i thought he was the pr guy and was just relaying some dumb decision made by another person
close series the first map decided it, well deserved! ggwp sr, sarah was insane, good run for tl!
this match more fun than some vct teams lol
very promising vitality roster, but who is igl, destrian? cender? it's probably also good for liquid, hot take.
eh idk about this, gl i guess
not even much "richer" or "bigger" orgs can mobilize their fans like that. going to events, buying tickets, buying the merch, their fans aren't merely viewers, they are actively participating in supporting the org. i feel like this is more common in streamer-run orgs.
cant stay at org if they dont take pay cut
whoever told him that is right tho
there is difference in the first year of franchising to this year. last time seems like orgs just rushed to making a roster because deadline was only roughly a month to make one after the announcement and almost everyone becomes FA and you compete with other orgs to get the players/coaches with high demand. seems this time there are more trials being done.
people believe every rumor there is lol. not a big deal as long as he isnt a pos
got used too much with inflated salaries maybe
