I really don't know what he did to be so hated here. Can someone summarize?
i can
but it's genuinely too long so i won't go into it, but i would like to mention this
in 2020 and start of 2021 i actually had him as the best igl itw, of course with them winning Iceland he solidified that, and he was actually pretty respectful and his answers about other teams and overall valorant for me were never toxic or egoistic.
but after that when they started losing some matches, the whole excuses shit started and at first they were kinda okay and reasonable but after getting completely destroyed throughout the end of 2021 it just became so full of shit and even then and right before tournaments his streaming hours weren't going down and every NA team said that sentinels aren't praccing anyone or it's very low and that kept going, so they looked like they don't care
so for any team you would think they make changes like TSM or they just put some time into it, but no they kept making excuses even TENZ no one talks about it but TENZ actually had one of the shittiest reasons among them even with shahz being there but his reasons were all individual ones like ping and whatever
so why did shahz get all the hate? bcz he was the only one to respond to it, he treated everyone that mentioned these issues in vlr and chat like dumb kids and he pulled out the "behind the scene card" so many times it got so annoying, and he just kept streaming not caring about the team and eventually reaching conclusions like "bootcamping isn't necessary"(although this one is dapr but it was clear that it was inspired by shahz) or " i stream with my free time and other teams watch anime or some shit" which was very fucking wrong as fns and yay stated that they put in the so much time and work also him saying " do you want me to throw all the money in streaming" this one people started defending him for, i don't get why but they don't understand that you just cannot be the igl and stream 5-6 hours a day and then expect to win, and even if you don't expect to win u can't open ur mouth when u lose bcz all other igls of top teams are working their asses off and they actually all got what they deserve like dephhh and fns and the 100t team
and believe me there were worse i just don't remember them
you get the picture, the whole thing was him just being completely wrong and actually trying to justify it with the shittiest reasons ever which made him hated more and more
one other point i have to say is the personal attack, see i don't think it's wrong to discuss these things on forums or reddit but the personal hate on his twitter or dms i think is very wrong and i never once cared enough to do that, for any player or org i think it's braindead
yeah and the CS stuff too, for me i never knew about them only after he was being criticized and called ratzam on vlr that i found out what happened in CS but that had 0 effect for me since i never watched it or knew about it before, but yeah that is part of the reason for some fans
He was bad at taking criticism, insulted those who criticized him and made it a big deal and escalated any situation he could.
It made him heavily disliked on top of the fact that a lot of people didn't like him because of previous CS betting drama.
What's important now is that he is taking accountability and growing from recent experiences
the level of hatred towards him is unwarranted (not saying u should love him but i have a sad feeling that if he were to die tomorrow people on this site would openly celebrate, thats how disliked he is) and it has to do with his handling of criticism/hate and his CS past as well as being SENs scape goat fir their bad performances.
Idc about how shaz is as a person only care about results. SEN fell off a cliff after iceland last year, and its been nearly 1 and half years with shahz still igling and no significant changes to their roster. I can't even remember one person given that many chances in an esports as short lifespan so far as valorant.

after reading this i kinda get his point of view, he really does have a lot of weight in his shoulders professionally and emotionally
