Pick and Ban phase - Imagine the quality and diversity of matches if Pros could ban OP agents that slip through the cracks. Impact would be more spread out to every role. Teams would focus more on fundamentals than gimmicks like breach/neon on fracture (fuck optic).

Once there are enough agents in every role for it to work it will be really interesting. Keeps the meta from staling and requires players to have at least some level of flexibility with their picks.

The gimmicks you see are days, weeks, and months of refinement of testing out strategies and that type of hard work should be rewarded, not punished.

The bans you are suggesting would refine that sentiment - as you can target ban agents that facilitate team-based strats based on scrim info etc.

Imagine calling playing agents that fit a map well, "gimmicky". Optic's neon comp was really good that's why they won so much with it. Now it seems like it's been figured out, so people will probably switch it around, and make something new.

valorant needs to add a feature that you can remove either an agent or 1 ability per round.

example : this round our team disables your controller.

next round you can disable one of ours.

this has to happen now
