I think it's because Skye and Breach are really strong in the current meta. Some teams will find use with him but he doesn't quite have his own spot. Honestly I think Skye is really overpowered right now and we might see a skye meta soon but who knows. We'll probably see more initiators played over time but some teams are still transitioning out of double duelist and they still are only running one initiator and running a sage along their other duelist.
I honestly think sova is slightly weaker than Skye at the moment overall. Just because of how viable Skye is everywhere but Sova just has some small weak maps(Split and Breeze). Skye doesn't have any weaknesses. I wouldn't be surprised if they nerf her even though her win rate will be low in ranked play because she'll be broken af in like 1 month or so.
Yeah, atm skill wise skye is better than sova.
But it's if you can use her, and there's a risk of team-flash if you use skye. And not a lot of people can use skye perfectly even in pro play.
Fyi I don't mean to trash them, but example is when fnatic team flash in final vs sen. It cost them a crucial round.
But on the other hand, sova is easier to use. 2 info gathering skill with 1 rechargeable. 2 darts for lineup, and the ULT is just too damn good.
So I think sova would still be more picked.
Yea but I think give it one month or so. Skye will be everywhere and rito will have to call the lumber companies to cut the trees to remove her habitat and nerf her back down to irrelevancy. I mean Fnatic usually are pretty good at skye on this map but idk I feel like those team flash moments will get much more rare over time. Also he was probably nervous honestly. Last round almost last map grand finals. If his hands weren't trembling and it's his first LAN I think so yea I think we should cut the dude some slack.
The bigger problem with skye is that no one plays her. I mean subroza does and stronglegs does. But literally not many Tier 1 players try to add Skye to their pool of agents and honestly that'll probably be their loss but no one notices that she's good because no one is experimenting with her enough. I mean some teams started picking up the skye but most teams just don't because who on the team would play it. Also subroza fucking lurks with skye lmao so it doesn't work.
True NA does not use a lot of Breach but Skye pick rates have increased since the new patch. Now that Skye's flashes are rechargeable it makes her even better. However, Sova has an edge because he has one of the best abilities, the Recon dart and his ultimate is very good. Skye's Ultimate is good because it recharges with 6 points but it bugs out sometimes and gets stuck behind walls. Kay/o's knife and fragment are good abilities and his ultimate is useful to stop pushes but his ability to flash for the team is weaker than a Skye or Breach. Saw Kay/o being picked up by C9 and NRG as part of a triple initiator setup along with Skye and Sova in place of a sentinel today. I would really like to see his true potential being unlocked by some team.
