North American organization T1 have acquired Joseph "ban" Seungmin Oh from Knights. This was announced alongside the release of Josh “pwny” VanGorder and dynamic.
This marks T1’s 3rd roster addition in the last 3 months, following the acquisition of the Munchkin from Crazy Raccoon in as well as xeta and head coach Autumn from Cloud9 in May. All of the additions to T1 are of Korean players, perhaps suggesting a future shift in T1’s region of play.
In 2020, T1 qualified for the main event of the North American First Strike tournament, but faced a 0-2 defeat by 100 Thieves. The next year, T1 faced similar undesirable results in future Challengers events, never making it above the Upper Bracket Semifinals in any of them, therefore failing to qualify for the in-region Masters. In 2022, T1 did not manage to qualify for any Challengers event.
T1 has abstained from play since the roster moves, which were all done after they were eliminated from Riot’s official circuit in a 0-2 defeat to VIRTUOSO in this year’s North America Stage 2 Challengers qualifier.
