Honestly curious what makes you think Shroud was mediocre. I've sseen so many people calling him an "average player", "mediocre" but none of them gives a reason (and i'm 100% none of them watched CS esports back then) . But i will give you mine. He was one of the best of NA had to offer. The only thing bugs me is his aim was way too good for supportive role but as some pro players like Seangares, n0thing and fl0m have said in streams/interviews he did what the team needed him to do. If you gonna call someone mediocre at least give the reason why, don't hate just bcz its "cool" to hate on famous people.

1). He had FUKING SUPPORTIVE roles ffs. There were and still are only handfull of players better then him in his role like Perfecto and Xyp9x (in his peak). Look at someone like interz, his stats aren't out of this world but is he a mediocre player? Hell fuckin no.
2). Totally not true, he had his best moments on LAN vs NAVI.
3). "Spent most of his time streaming PUBG". Pubg came out in 2017 and he retired right after?
4). Popular because his aim was way beyond his time (at least in NA bc Niko still was a monster).

I'd say "dogshit" actually describes him better. His stats were fucking terrible even though he was being fed swag-type roles in the start of Cloud9. He never EVER achieved ANYTHING other than some fluke wins over some good european competition. Once they put him in less favourable roles he flopped so hard. He became a shit tier player. He is literally the most overrated player in the history of CSGO. His entire reputation is based on 12yo redditors reposting his stream clips. Truth is, he was a dogshit bottomfragging pugstar and nothing more.

you're capping if you think Shroud was a support player his entire career. He was a lurker when he joined C9. He was the star player when Hiko left. He was only the support player when they realised he was so dogshit that he couldn't do anything other than lob nades. When they actually added good players like Stewie/autimatic. n0thing was given the bitch roles, shroud was just an anchor (did a terrible job).
Both interz and taco have better stats than Shroud. Both Interz and Taco have played 500 more games against tier1 opposition. Both Interz and Taco have achieved a whole lot more. Their trophy cabinet is 10 times the size.
