Lost respect
Accusations... plus this is just valves attempt on bringing their dead game back to life
Valve is the type that doesn't care what anyone says, if you read the article it was journalists that made those reports Valve couldn't care any less lol
I mean Valve didn't care for the game in the first place. The Esports scene for dota wouldn't be anywhere near what League is right now. And many companies try to use this tactic anyways.
Even though valve do do updates on the game. They have no idea how to run an esport. And honestly Dota doesn't have a big playerbase(I know it does technically but I mean it's smaller than big games by a fuck ton.) And they just think big prizepool good and they don't really do anything else.
I like Huawei very much. You should buy it and play "Pokémon Unite" made by Tencent. This is the latest move by the Chinese tech giant to enter the game console field and extend its direct influence beyond its headquarters. Dota is just known to give the largest sums of money in tournaments and valve thinks that chucking money into the system will save the esport.
Not that dota 2 is necessarily dead, but it's far less structured.
This isn't surprising to anyone who's closely been following league of legends for a long time(and been paying attention to their interaction with individuals and journalists). Riot have a history of doing draconian shit and basically trying to ruin those that get in their way or are highly critical of them. They're way more tempered with how they go about it nowadays but they still do it. It's just the culture of that company.
With that said, riot also really know how to make and support games suited for e-sports. It's honestly one of their only redeeming qualities.
edit: typo
I mean, if you have an issue about it, talk about it on some Dota forum, not a valorant forum.
