what copium. A random non-major LAN literally doubled on master's viewership. Valorant viewership is dropping constantly. It went from 1.2m to 1.0m to 800k to 500k, it's a constant dropoff. idk but it sounds like the opposite of what ppl like about cs. I feel like cs is all about being creative with the same tools everyone has, and if new csgo changes mechanics around, i feel like it would change some of the appeal for a lot of the fans and pros.

what it's supposed to do is basically make the game look better and run better on newer PCs. However, it's possible that it could change the way that gameplay works in CS, like peek timings, counterstrafing, bunnyhopping, and lineups.

Funny when VLR people like to make fun of CSGO players, but then go full monkey copium mode when something like this gets posted. Source 2 is going to happen eventually. Everyone knows that. And its perfect time for Valve to avoid the mistakes they did with original launch and conquer other markets as well. If Source 2 hit the market it would be the most relevant gaming and esport news out there. It would be big launch no matter how much some of you try to cope that it is not. And Source 2 doesn't have to mean new game to begin with, it may just be engine update for CSGO but that alone would be big thing.
I'm not hating on Valorant just stating how it is.

I mean what he said isn’t entirely wrong. People will be upset but there is no doubt that for competitive matches. Riot heavily relies on watch parties for viewership. Nothing wrong with it but I think in the long term it isn’t great. Valorant has a great casual following in terms of people watching streamers play (most of which are pro or former) but yeah.
