idk but it sounds like the opposite of what ppl like about cs. I feel like cs is all about being creative with the same tools everyone has, and if new csgo changes mechanics around, i feel like it would change some of the appeal for a lot of the fans and pros.

the supposed source 2 update will actually change nothing to the game. That game is built on an old engine and the same code is being done on a new one. dont know i doubt it does but cs will def get more popular i dont think any valorant pro would leave back to cs to be a tier 4 players again,but cs will get a lot of popularity and hype again if it takes off and doesn't die in weeks like ow2,if they release an actual improved version of cs with all the improvements people have been asking for cs player base will become probably a bit bigger and the esports wiews will boom because everyone wants to see competition with the new version but in content and social media valorant is still superior because its more casual friendly and fun to watch

I mean what he said isn’t entirely wrong. People will be upset but there is no doubt that for competitive matches. Riot heavily relies on watch parties for viewership. Nothing wrong with it but I think in the long term it isn’t great. Valorant has a great casual following in terms of people watching streamers play (most of which are pro or former) but yeah.

what it's supposed to do is basically make the game look better and run better on newer PCs. However, it's possible that it could change the way that gameplay works in CS, like peek timings, counterstrafing, bunnyhopping, and lineups.
