is this really appropriate that riot is allowing these “pros” to be glamorizing gambling on other pro matches?

what if subroza told 100T members he had 5k bet with zombs on the line?

how do we know the pros aren’t throwing seeding matches behind the scenes???

do kids really need to think the way to being rich is gambling on esports?

and prod is drunk on stream promoting being drunk?

how is this acceptable for the scene? seems pretty weird and shouldn’t be accepted

we should be promoting competition and the integrity of the game.

what if they are gambling on seed matches where lower paid team has a spot in vct but knows zombs and others have big $ on the game and will give them a cut?

gambling promotions on stream for “watch parties” should not be allowed by sitting pros currently on vct qualifying or attempting to qualify teams

plenty of young people look up to these people and will think it’s ok to gamble to get rich while ruining the integrity of the game.

my guess is the people who think the rank system is fair also think gambling is ok

I'm gonna assume you meant to put this under my response.

You put the burden of proof on #24 to prove they aren't match fixing, which is not how the law in almost any country works, so yeah, you kinda did.
What these pros are doing is friendly betting, which I'm pretty sure is legal in most places in the US, and perfectly ok imo. If you want to talk about them being on twitch and streaming to kids, that's a point I will probably agree with, but not the one we're talking about currently

His point about gambling is right tho.... it's rampant on Twitch and tbh that company is a dipshit and doesn't care as long as they getting their fat load of cash....at least Riot needs to not allow streamers to talk about gambling in official watchparties or just not allow them the rights from next time onwards...match fixing ain't the problem here Gambling is....it is as wrong as match fixing for a company to allow this shit... especially when u aren't letting teams in on franchising just cz they are associated with gambling (Acend)

when did I disagree with that? Please read carefully, also we don't even know yet if Acend are getting in, let alone for being owned by a gambling company. I assume some orgs with betting sponsors might get in, and I would assume Acend to get in if they had a bigger fanbase and better facilities.

betting is for anybody not allowed who is associated with pros.

for example u cant bet on football matches if ur friend is in premier league or smthn.
same for esports
