Counter-Strike legend Christopher " GeT_RiGhT " Alesund has revealed through a video posted to his Twitter account that he will be entering Valorant.

GeT_RiGhT is regarded as one of the best players in CS history for his accolades earned near the end of Counter-Strike's lifespan and the early days of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

He was ranked as the second best Counter-Strike player in the world by HLTV.org in 2010 and 2011 and the best CS:GO player in the world in 2013 and 2014. HLTV ranked him as the 11th best player in the world in 2015 and the 18th best player in 2016.

GeT_RiGhT played for Swedish organization Ninjas in Pyjamas for over seven years in CS:GO between 2012 and 2019 before later reuniting with several of his former NiP teammates on Dignitas in 2020. He was part of the Ninjas in Pyjamas squad that won 87 consecutive maps on LAN between August 2012 and April 2013.

While he continuously wrapped up accolades in the first half of the past decade, he did not find the same level of success in the decade's latter half. His titles in premier tournaments were fewer and further in between, although he still won a number of such tournaments.

Now 30, he is one of many CS:GO veterans in his 30s who has transitioned over to Valorant. Other CS:GO veterans in their 30s who have found success in Valorant thus far are Joshua "steel" Nisssan, who turns 31 in a few days, 31 year-old Kyrylo "ANGE1" Karasov, 31 year-old Sam "DaZeD" Marine, and 30 year-old Spencer "Hiko" Martin.

He played on all-Swedish rosters for most of his CS:GO career, although he also has some history playing on European-mixed rosters. Both of the organizations he played with during his CS:GO career, NiP and Dignitas, have Valorant rosters. Currently, the best all-Swedish team in Valorant is the roster of Guild Esports.

GeT_RiGhT made no indication of which team he will play for, or if he has even joined a team yet at all.
