Trexx Koldamenta Russ (not Turkish one) Sayf Leo . Better or worse than old one ??
it was good but mostly carried by leo and sayf, yacine was really good at the start of the year but then fell off, draken was mediocre until the end of the year when he was popping off and bonkar was straigh up a liability, only with firepower alone this roster should make it through qualifiers easily
nah he wasn't mediocre, he was just holding off his true power. After the -draken +draken event happened, he opened up his 3rd eye and awakened his true potential.
But bonkar def was a very important part of the team due to his util. Idrc abt his igling, but u couldn't deny the man had some insane util usage, so that kinda was pretty helpful. Even though he wasn't getting kills, it might feel really odd to his teammates if he's not playing due to his really helpful util.
Yacine did fall off though rip. I mean he's still a great player so let's see what happens with him and bonkar. hopefully they land somewhere good for the next vct season.

He is veeery good, I mean he’ll have to prove he has the Tier 1 level, but from what I’ve seen, he really does
I really hope he does. Not a Guild fan but they really needed that duelist boost and he looks like a viable solution.
Also he'll be playing with Kolda. We've seen him lead really good duelists (mainly Jett) talents in his past rosters (cNed, keloqz). He can definitely turn him into a fragging beast for this roster.
Well, that’s debatable, you could argue polvi too. But I agree, my point comes more because I don’t know why I have a lot of hope in Trexx and the feeling that he is gonna perform super well, and besides that Russ is the only other player that doesn’t have a suuuper high tier 1 experience that’s why I said that idk
I don't know much about Trexx, but this roster looks really good. I'm just curious of how the roles will go? Because as of late both Koldamenta and Leo have been mainly playing Sova, and both Sayf and Russ have been mainly playing Skye. Obviously both Sayf and Leo are really flexible, so we might see Sayf going back to sentinel role and Leo possibly back to controller role? But anyway if these players just glue together well and comms work I could easily see them fighting for Masters spots. Actually really interesting roster to follow this year!
I don't think its that big of a problem tbh. I'm pretty sure young player like Trexx can pick that weapon up and make it work. But its true that he doesn't seem to be huge Jett player. I'm still really hopeful for this team! Also seems like Trexx doesn't have much time in actually good teams, so he will be getting more support from his teammates and that could boost his stats.
https://twitter.com/DSajoof/status/1478409759107821568 Sayf just tweeted he is gonna play duelist this season
I guess that could work? maybe if they play like
Sayf - Sentinel and Viper, otherwise Controller?
Leo - Controller / Sova on Breeze
Koldamenta - Sova / Sentinel or Breach on Fracture / Breeze
Trexx - Duelist, mainly Jett
Russ - Flex, probably Skye, Sage and Second Duelist
Mayyybe that could work better. I would put Leo on Controller only because he's the one with the most potential to flex that role out of Sayf. Altho he's a good Sova player Kolda's got most of his IGL experience over the agent, I wouldn't take it off him.
It's a little bit complicated but only time will tell.
yeah but the sayf tweet saying that he is maining duelist this season already takes him from the sentinel/viper role and takes trexx from jett role. And about the Leo/Koldamenta situation maybe it was a stretch from me putting Kolda as a Controller, thinking that is easier to IGL as an Astra player (Vanity-like), but of course there's a lot of Sovas IGL as well.
I wouldn't trust right away a player's tweet about roles and positions in the team, but it's the only thing we've for now. Sayf on sentinel is just the role I see him playing the best and the one I hope he keeps playing, most players moving to the Jett role goes bad, most notably: Sacy, but I guess they can make it work anyways.
And I def agree with you, I caught myself thinking about the roles of this lineup every goddamn time I saw the roster, but every single role you think it will end up being weird. Hopefully, they can all adjust to their new roles, if they are comfortable playing it, they are a title contender for sure.
Yeah roles are so random in this team :D I personally think:
Duelist: Sayf
Sova: Koldamenta
Controller: Leo
Flex/2nd duelist: Trexx
Sentinel: Russ (???)
Somewhat weird roles, but Sayf being Jett main would make sense since Trexx seems to be more of a Raze player. Still not sure how Russ will fit into this roster, but I see potential. Also I'm not sure would they put Leo back controller role, but his Astra seemed really good when he played it.
You're right, but Nivera's playstyle on CS already fitted the one he's playing right now for TL, while Trexx played almost 100% duelist. Aggresive players are hard to contain in a passive role, but if we consider that the most dangerous sentinels are those who know when to change playstyles and that we already know he's got really good aim, maybe it's not as weird as we think. Mixwell did a really smooth transition from duelist to sentinel and stepped up for G2 when they most needed him.
About Sayf, I already said this on another thread, support players changing to the Jett role don't usually work that well. The most notable example is Sacy, and in this situation it's pretty similar to Sayf's situation. He played the sentinel role the entire time for his team and while he's capable of fill the duelist role, he might not be the strongest one in the team.
Leo is very good. Sayf is a solid player too.
-Bonkar +Kolda should improve the team's firepower, but I have to wonder how their strategy will be affected. I wasn't a big fan of G2's decision making on some maps, however, they did very well on others.
I'm not too familiar with either of the other two players, but they look like they have a lot of potential.
I'm looking forward to how this team will perform. I don't think they can touch any of the Champs teams, though. Unless Boaster's brain dies again and chooses to run triple smokes.
