gutszeraa [#4]i didnt expect the VS game to peak harder than FNC C9
As much as I hate to admit it drops carried the viewership today
gutszeraa [#4]i didnt expect the VS game to peak harder than FNC C9
no one really cares about fnatic that much anymore and c9 has never really gotten good viewership in NA games
wedqatwrtgehge [#5]As much as I hate to admit it drops carried the viewership today
isnt it just drops for a spray? people really want a spray tht bad lol. I'm not arguing your point, it'd just be crazy to me if they wanted a spray that bad
Netero [#2]Asia supremacy!
I remember that time when you became brazilian and i offered you chicken tenders... Great times... haha
ShiningTyGuy [#8]isnt it just drops for a spray? people really want a spray tht bad lol. I'm not arguing your point, it'd just be crazy to me if they wanted a spray that bad
I think people thought you could also get the gun buddy today so they stayed but it's only for the finals
idkbro [#3]how can fnc vs c9 get that little viewership lmao, clearly best match of the day + eu vs na
It’s called timezones
ShiningTyGuy [#8]isnt it just drops for a spray? people really want a spray tht bad lol. I'm not arguing your point, it'd just be crazy to me if they wanted a spray that bad
It probably had a lot to do with what hour were the games, all Asia was asleep during the C9 vs FNC and it was late for EU too
blinkedr159 [#12]I remember that time when you became brazilian and i offered you chicken tenders... Great times... haha
I'm coming back for those!
Gorkem [#7]Lmaooooo First eu vs na just viewed 500k????
Dead game actually. Less and less viewers with each passing tournament
It's just the group stage ffs and 500k viewers is not that bad.
Gorkem [#7]Lmaooooo First eu vs na just viewed 500k????
Dead game actually. Less and less viewers with each passing tournament
Yeah 500k for the first day of an event means the game is so dead. Yet other games not even getting 500k for their finals and they’re not dead?
Daniveus [#9]asians sleeping + EU 13 yo also sleeping == 90% NA viewership
I don’t think you know how time zones work
Gorkem [#7]Lmaooooo First eu vs na just viewed 500k????

timezones idiot
Pigtoucher83 [#18]Yeah 500k for the first day of an event means the game is so dead. Yet other games not even getting 500k for their finals and they’re not dead?
not saying the game is dead. the viewership compared to Iceland has only gone down. Iceland popped off for many reasons so its expected but Berlin peak viewership peaked during the group stage. The finals had 600k viewers. Not that any of it matters but Valorant is a game where it gets views on two things. Watch parties and what teams are playing. Sentinels bring the highest viewership. I think Sentinels Vs Liquid will bring in the best numbers.
ShiningTyGuy [#8]isnt it just drops for a spray? people really want a spray tht bad lol. I'm not arguing your point, it'd just be crazy to me if they wanted a spray that bad
There are several things that go into it. I personally could care less about the spray but I cant speak for all the 13 year olds who play the game. The way r6 does drops is a lot better and drops in r6 increase viewership a lot. They give out packs and the packs can drop several items that you can actually use in game whether it be a gun skin or player skin, charms, etc. Better than a spray imo.
Engreloy [#17]It's just the group stage ffs and 500k viewers is not that bad.
No its not bad but Berlin viewership did peak in the group stages. I think Champions will get over a million. It really depends on what teams.
idkbro [#3]how can fnc vs c9 get that little viewership lmao, clearly best match of the day + eu vs na
It was like 3 or 4 in the morning, i wouldnt mind that except i got work the next day, Sadge
ShiningTyGuy [#8]isnt it just drops for a spray? people really want a spray tht bad lol. I'm not arguing your point, it'd just be crazy to me if they wanted a spray that bad
People like free stuff lol
Jockie [#10]smh wait till the end. Ofc drops + first match hype would drag more viewership. I'm just waiting to see if the numbers increase from M3. And also, SEN v TL match will have some good numbers, both orgs with great fanbase behind.
sen vs tl probably gets a million
Mortadelo [#14]It’s called timezones
I guess most audience is from asia probably and it was a bit late there, you are right
Mortadelo [#14]It’s called timezones
Am asian, can confirm. By the time fs vs vs was over it was like 12 plus to 1 already, most can't stay up till 4 to watch c9 vs fnc
idkbro [#33]I guess most audience is from asia probably and it was a bit late there, you are right
I don't think Asia has more fanbase, but the first game for example in a doable hour for Asia, and is like 9 am already for NA east coast, and trust me, they watch the games at school. So it kinda works for everyone tho
Sup_br0 [#11]The first match peaked the highest because ppl were hyped to see how champions look like. The real test will be sentinels match, if that match don’t get 800k+ , i don’t think champions will have more than 1.2m peak unless they do skin drops
SEN vs any EU team will have peak viewers irrespective in what stage it will be played.
If it's Grand Final, you can expect 1.5M peak
Mooony [#34]Am asian, can confirm. By the time fs vs vs was over it was like 12 plus to 1 already, most can't stay up till 4 to watch c9 vs fnc
Yeah, I guess weekend will be different tho

That doesn't explain the big drop in viewership. However, the 2 other games starting at around 1 and 4 respectively for us correlates to the big drop
Mooony [#38]That doesn't explain the big drop in viewership. However, the 2 other games starting at around 1 and 4 respectively for us correlates to the big drop
That's what I meant, the first game is the only one that can work for everyone
Mortadelo [#35]I don't think Asia has more fanbase, but the first game for example in a doable hour for Asia, and is like 9 am already for NA east coast, and trust me, they watch the games at school. So it kinda works for everyone tho
Wdym doable, the first match literally starts at 11pm in korean/japan. The 2nd match already past midnight.
We can't stay up too late or our parents will beat us

That's every esport tbh
Look at the CS:GO major that just finished. No way do they hit 2.3 mil in the finals if it isn't NAVI, G2, and the greatest player ever trying to get his first major

Yes, it is literally scripted no cap
idkbro [#33]I guess most audience is from asia probably and it was a bit late there, you are right
Yeah, It was like 1 AM here when Fnatic vs cloud9
so, timings are a little bit fucked for Asian countries to watch this tournament.
Mooony [#38]That doesn't explain the big drop in viewership. However, the 2 other games starting at around 1 and 4 respectively for us correlates to the big drop
Timings are not good for Asian countries to watch this tournament.
when Fnatic vs cloud9 started it was like 2 AM here
I watched the whole match And I slept at 6 AM now my sleep schedule is pretty fucked
wedqatwrtgehge [#5]As much as I hate to admit it drops carried the viewership today
Timings ??
I don't think so drop carried viewership. Nobody gives a fuck about spray

2.7 million but yeah. If it was Navi vs Liquid it would have been the best for viewership.
Navi = CIS, bunch of s1mple fans
Liquid = All of NA and BR with Fallen
Put Europe in there who fans of either team/bettors
And people who just watch just to watch.
That niko whiff though was hard to watch. Felt bad.
idkbro [#3]how can fnc vs c9 get that little viewership lmao, clearly best match of the day + eu vs na
it's more fun to watch Vision Strikers than Fnatic ir C9B
i mean as expected since watching 1 hour to get a drop and then boom viewership drop instead of increasing. looking at the views stats again tell me that Vision Strikers is like NAVI in CS for in term of views atm
also kinda sad that out of 3 game series the closest series and most epic game has the least viewers and the most stomped game has peak viewers .
plas [#54]wow ur so funny hahaha 0 peak lol
people with c9 flair should be ashamed since they lost to tenstar
Sad that the KRÜ vs TL game has passed to the last of the day, if it was the second as planned it would have been great because first that TL is one of the teams with the most fanpage, secondly, at that time there would be more Asians who are the ones who more public have, to all this added the buff of the Kün co-stream, surely it would been one of the most viewed

main reason I think is timing in iceland every region had comfortable timing plus first LAN, and for now the timings are pretty bad because of daylight saving time.
