People who learned another language come

With college starting up again soon I won’t have much time to learn for the near future, but what did yall do to learn? I live in an area that has like 30% Spanish speaking population and with me working in healthcare I think it would help a lot to learn
I’ve heard duolingo is a fraud so what can i use?

ngl going to the country(or a country that speaks that language) and actually speaking the language constantly is the only way to truly learn

biggest way to learn is to use the new language in your life daily

like talking to people that already speak it

watching videos in spanish and watching series and movies in spanish is a VERY GREAT help if you dont want to pay for spanish classes

start watching spanish content and try to mimic how they speak the words. You can also practice your speaking skills by talking to Chatgpt

uhhh idk shit's easier when you're a kid

start with terms/questions that would come up the most at work

body parts, pain (where?), meds (tylenol and motrin), time words, some foods

I scribed in an ER for a while and if u have this stuff down u can deal with most spanish speakers

learn chinese

get a latina gf

consume as much content in that language as u can.... books, movies, series, music, yt, val commentary etc

I’m fluent in pooping my pants and let me just say if ur not dedicated to actually learn to begin with, like if u don’t have the passion for it, then just give up cus ur gonna go nowhere

consume as much media in that language as u can, i learned english that way, playing nintendo emulators, watching yt videos, reading stuff. I dont think im that good but i got a pretty solid base

Just try to go to market daily and talk to the people, the locals will day by day correct your vocabulary. I learnt most of it that way.
