EDG collapsed. Wolves gave hope with their streak just to collapse too. XLG collapsed.

Like what is there to look out for in the future? It seems so bleak.

EMEA has pillars like FNC and Heretics now and builds new projects like KC and BBL.

Americas has pillars in G2 and Sen.

APAC has pillars in PRX and GenG.

China seems so desolate in comparison. It feel like the results that they did get this year were the absolute max and was contigent on some special factors to happen in the first place.

I would be very depressed as a chinese fan

I agree. They’ve come top 3 the past 3 tournaments though and almost every time, at least 1 of their teams makes it fairly deep though even though people think they are shit almost every tournament (except bangkok where EDG were semi-favourites), so I wouldn’t worry that much

i wouldn't say "disappointing year" for a VCT CN standards, China had the most success in internationals this year since vct started.
Its just that so far theres only one team that didnt disappoint this year from CN thats why it can be "disappointing"

XLG bombed out of Toronto after being forced to change an initator player to one that literally couldn't speak the same language as their star duelist player AND getting shafted by the meta change simultaneously.

They've recovered spectacularly since. Unlike EDG who is stuck in rostermania hell.
