Xenophobia against Brazil

Brazil is one of the countries who most suffer from xenophobia in gaming, the Brazilian "toxicity" is merely a reaction of this xenophobia.
They defend theyselves and their fellow Brazilians, creating a "barrier" beetwhen the other contries.

A lot of times when I become friends with a "gringo", they say "U soo chill for a Brazilian". We are all chill, it's just self defense.

Call it paranoia, but this is just a fact.
Shit so bad that the phrase "Brazil against the world" it's commonly accepted from even giant creators.

If someone makes a post about Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil, North Korea etc its freedom of speech/just regular talk, if you do the same towards/say that the following: U.S., France, South Korea, Japan, are not that different its politics/discrimination

#14

im sure there's no trend in those examples that might lead to some kind of distinction between the two

I'm sure there's no bias involved

Bias is this thread, not the mods punishing people for breaking the rules. Just because some of you think you're better than the rules because of your nationality doesn't change them.

#40

the point is that the rules are selectively applied, hence bias

Sure thing, I rather have a UN flag by consecutive bans of pointing out certain behaviors.
Than being a UK flag, anything is better than UK flag

there's those behaviors again 🤷

Nah just being true, UN flag it's bc of actions, not behavior, the act of defending my people right cost me 3 bans.

Making tread calling out people by mocking Brazil isn't smth that wouldn't get me banned.
Making a tread explaining futher what Liwus said is smth that it could get me banned.
I defended my people right, not honor.

ur so naive man, theres so many incidents of brazilian fans having a victim complex and being toxic and weird in esports i could write a entire book about it. When u have a big community with so much pride and dumbasses it makes u look bad and u get hate, french community is very similar and nobody likes them either and people are literally proudly "xenophobic" against them, brazil isnt any different

#41
Prasinos
-3
Frags
+

"Victim complex", yes, it's what we all said in the past when womens protested by fair rights, it's what we said when the workers proclaimed about the work.
Time pass, opinion change.

When u have a big community with so much pride and dumbasses

Plus being xenophobical, and I'm pretty sure this can 100% be applied to USA community. But the diference is that they don't suffer the xenophobica we suffer.

"xenophobic"

Why the ""? There is no "", they do suffer xenophobia but ofc, compare France xenophobia with Brazil is beyond stupid.
U called me naive, but u seen kinda brainless, do you know what naive means?

#45
aaaa420
2
Frags
+

yes u both suffer this xenophobia cause nobody likes ur community cause ur too emotional and "passionate" which comes off as obnoxious and because of this "us vs them" mentality theres so many misunderstandings and it makes the toxicity worse

#48
Prasinos
-1
Frags
+

there so many misunderstandings and it makes the toxicity worse

This is the only right thing u said in all ur replys.
Indeed, it make it worst, but is people like you who make the "us vs them" not a mentality, but a fact.
Idk about the French, since I never had lived with them. But people like you calling people by the things u called, is what it makes the average Brazilian mad, and unite himself with others Brazilians.
He will reply to you with also harsh words, the cycle of "us vs them" will continue, by people like u.
(Plus, not even considering the companies beef)

Using events that is made by bad people to justify xenophobia is a ancient pro gamer move.

Sure, and the actions of these people justify a literal main roblox dc server using monkey to describe Brazil nationality choose?
Or do this type of action justify a huge content creator being denied game recognization bc he is Brazilian?
Or a Dayz dc whole fucking network dedicated to haunt Brazilians bc they don't like them?

I can pick ton of shit USA or Europe did to justify hate, but diferent from you, Ik the average French or American doesn't have nothing to do with this.

#56
aaaa420
0
Frags
+

first it was "we are only toxic because we fight back against undeserved toxicity" and now its "u cant say we are all like that" no shit obviously but u are not only hated because theres some special brazil hate campaign,u are hated because u do things that are easy to hate on

#59
Prasinos
0
Frags
+

I didn't changed to subject, u who got lost.
Indeed these bad actions bring us hate. But the things I said above is what trigger Brazilians to close themselfs with other Brazilians, being toxic when events like I said above happen.

And again, it doesn't justify hate Brazil gets as a WHOLE, wants to show desaproval for spiting water? Fine, but from the moment u bring this hate to a totally diferent Brazilian, like the examples I said, it's wrong.

#61
aaaa420
0
Frags

yea and ur still stuck thinking its because ur brazilian when theres plenty of other communities who get "hated" because of their reputation like france,i literally see more insults for being french than brazilian especially in league twitter hating french is totally normal nobody is saying toxicity is good but u are not the only victim and not without reason,ur getting generalized for the actions of some fans who dont represent everyone its a very very normal thing and happens all the time

Humans are xenophobic by nature
You need to be lovable to remove that towards your nation
China and KR/JP have soft power and are developed countries which negates that in some factor
Brazil/African nations/India dont have that so people feel xenophobia against them

#44
Prasinos
-1
Frags
+

First english comment that isn't out of contact with the world.
Yes, this do happen, but, Brazil isn't third world African nation, we do have soft power, not in the level of Japan, but we do, so the xenophobia Brazil gets is non sense.
Thing about being lovable, is that a lot of times, you will need to let people pass over you, since if you talk back, you willn't be "lovable", Brazil is the type of country who don't let people say what they want about our people.
And this make others see us as "hatefull", but was like I said in OP, it's a reaction, I see this as a cycle, people will normalize attack us since whe attack them back.

#46
aaaa420
1
Frags
+

the problem is that u refuse to acknowledge that Brazilians can do shit that makes people be toxic to them too

#52
Prasinos
0
Frags
+

You re inconsistent, first you point out that we are overall "dumbasses", but after point out "can" as if is the events that CAN possibily happen, and that events is what make Brazil hated, a seasonal hate, not a constant one like is.
Many contries have a CAN, USA CAN produce weird people like Jonny China CAN have weird people like the Genshin BK event.
But this doesn't justify xenophobia, you see USA getting xenophobia bc of Jonny somali? No.

I never said Brazil doesn't have toxic people or don't do shit. Saying it doesn't justify the xenophobia we get as a whole.

im saying people dont like when u mob up on someone and harass them personally over the smallest things and u get toxicity just like other communities who act like that stop thinking ur special and its only u when many other communities get hate for being stupid even if its not everyone

#57
Prasinos
0
Frags

Other communities take hate by acts, Brazil gets hate by simply existing PLUS his acts. The dude I was talking to seen to know that in a especific level.

#60

get the fuck out of here, brazil is the biggest and loudest community so ofcourse u get the most hate, brazilians will send u thousands of death treats for doing something as small as taunting their team, americans dont do that which is why nobody has yet had to say that it happens because it doesnt and when incidents like this constantly happen ofcourse its gonna give a bad impression of brazil

#62

trying to not be biased but when you have 250 million people you gotta understand that there will be minorities that will be louder than the quiet and chill ones, of course we have to work in brazil towards minimizing as much as possible those minorities of fans that are actual pieces of shit but i dont think generalizing an entire coutry for such actions will do much other than making more people from here see the rest of the world as enemies, we are a third world country filled with corruption in our system, you have to hate what causes these actions and not as much the people that commit, if you know what im saying, although i completely get your point and we also generalize for example argentina as a racistfull country when maybe only the loud minority is who gets the country that bad rep

#68

i never said its ok to just hate on the whole country but im saying brazil is not being targeted for no reason like OP is trying to say,and a lot of the toxicity and rudeness is also just unprovoked and stupid, like the incidents i linked above
