So did we finally see some clear weakness coming from G2?
Uncleben [#3]Leaf was definitely over performing so they bulldozed everyone, they aren’t unbeatable gods but they are still a fantastic team who made a deep run last year and upgraded
as a g2 fan agree, they aren't invincible

Sentinels definitely showed that G2 can still be beat. If not for Valyn's hero round, SEN might've won Haven.
bees [#5]I think it's that they overemphasize set plays and anti-strats to the point where they end up looking lost when the stratbook runs out.
Someone said this but set plays are a very tiny part of actual pro play
Anti strays sure, but most practice is around map theory and just time getting people comfortable with their comps

that's like only on Split. Only set strats didn't help them go no map loss before finals. Everyone from collegiate to tier 1 has stratbooks. only like 5-10% of their games are strat books.

this is actually so accurate. whenever they have to freestyle it during rounds, like when they burned both timeouts in the first half of abyss, they look completely jumbled, and the teamplay that leaf's harps on just dissolves. if they fix their mid-rounding and valyn implements some new off-the-wall plays during their mid-rounding, there's an extremely high chance they win at least one international this year, at least a higher chance than it is currently
Cacachocolat [#11]Yes they are overrated

My point isn't that it's all they do, just that they do over-rely on defined strategies and tend to get outcalled in drawn-out, scrappy series.
They're still better than most teams at improvising, but when we're talking about the best of the best, they aren't #1 at that particular aspect.
Taruuu1 [#19]almost losing to Sen is NOT perfect Valorant
Sen looked genuinely good
No one was carrying which is a good thing ngl

hard disagree with this. the first tac that got drawn out of g2 was upper finals on pearl(sens pick). theyre one of the best at keeping their halves fresh with adjustments to avoid losing (momentum in) halves

I don't see how that disproves my argument. They're going to be prepared for several games' worth of rounds because they're probably the most studious team out there.
