saebr [#2]Do skibidi and gyatt also have french influence
Skibidi comes from "Skibidi Toilet" which is just the name of the YouTube series. Don't know where the name came from though
The word gyatt comes from Jamaica I think, not too sure about the details

But, basiclly every single word of American English has influence of French.
Ik that France had a lot of influence in the creation, but even with the words?
Plus it is USA english bc Cannadians are also Americans and their english is kinda diferent.
goofyahh1447 [#9]it's not just american english, 29% of english words are of french origin

ah ok. i think there are 3 types of influences on French.
1.) similar vocab from old days. like i think in old days nobles used english words cuz it was fancy, so u have words like beef and boeuf loookin the same. and then all that latin shit
2.) anglicismes .words exist en english but not in french and english global language, so we got people using these english expressiosns
3.) calques. in other words people bilingual because they consume so much english or for example quebec is so influenced by english you have people using phrases that are english construction.

1243 [#14]wait my joke is good no?
This attempt at humor falls flat on multiple levels. The joke relies on a forced and convoluted connection between internet memes ("skibidi" and "gyatt") and the French language, which feels entirely arbitrary and lacks any meaningful punchline. The phrase "je mapelle skibidi and je mange gyatt" is not only grammatically incorrect ("je m'appelle" is misspelled), but it also fails to deliver any clever or amusing insight. The humor, if intended, is lost in translation, and the result is a confusing and uninspired attempt at comedy. Overall, this joke lacks creativity, coherence, and comedic value, making it a disappointing read.

Uhhh, isn't like that, like, there is words half english half french.
I can't remenbers the exact words (I have to research).
But it's like Brazilian portuguese. We have a lot of words half portuguese and half old Latim (Roman).
