PRX IGL

If the whole world is following a process and finding success and you are trying to be different and failing everytime, the problem is in you. This applies to PRX.
Are we so arrogant that we think that all the 47 other teams are dumbasses for having an actual IGL? If IGLs, midroundings, calling and strats didn't matter, then PRX would have won in 2023. That's not the case is it.
It was fun when they were winning, when they were just outaiming everyone else. Now it's just stupid. People have caught up. Get an IGL. You could have signed Kushy, he does IGLing. You could have signed Kr1stal, he is a fire igl. You have a prehistoric guy in your team, you could ask him to learn IGLing. Sayf learnt how to igl even with his ego and no one in PRX still can.
This experiment has gone on for too long, it's time to stop and try new things. Why is it so hard to grasp.

Geniuses and innovators are born from going against the norm. If everyone kept repeating what everyone else did we might still be living in mud houses and brushing our teeth with our shit.

2023 PRX is not even a good example of your point, they made it to 3rd place in Masters Tokyo, outliving every other team with a proper IGL aside from two. Following that they made it to 2nd place in Los Angeles, which puts them above every other team with an IGL, again, aside from one?

Yeah their performances after that may reflect what you meant but why 2023 where they had their best performance??

Obviously PRX has problems, lacking a proper IGL might be one of them. This post is retarded tho

PRX's peak isn't good enough to win an international tournament. In fact, 2023 just showed that the lack of an IGL was and is the exact problem PRX has. Because firepower was never the problem for PRX. They were able to steamroll almost every other team in 2023 but still lost to the best of the best. Why? Logically they had equal firepower, since no other team was able to match PRX in that regard. What other factors could have led to their losses? And their several losses were due to choking no less! A lack of an IGL to ground the team (because an IGLs job isn't only to call plays!) would absolutely lead to the downfall of the team. And in 2024, when teams and their igling only got better, PRX crumbled! Geng was one of the strongest teams ever because they had such a good igl in the form of munchkin, and several callers in the mid round like meteor and lakia, but the whole point is that they always had someone calling the shots. It wasn't a system where everyone is considered the igl and when the time comes for a mental reset to happen with the help of an igl, there's no one to step up and take the mantle in the case of PRX. Hence, while it was not explained clearly, it actually makes logical sense to consider the performance PRX produced in 2023 as a perfect example as to why having an IGL, or more specifically a dedicated IGL on a team is so crucial. Before you bring up team heretics, the team was made up of 4 rookies whereas PRX had veterans like forsaken and davai on the team even in 2023. I hope this helps you to understand the argument better.

Well PRX have been innovative for 3 years and I still don't see the flying cars, mate. 3 years is a shit ton of time in esports. If your model is failing again and again and again, stop following that same shit and try something new. It ain't rocket science.

I think the one thing they need the most is the discipline in the team. Also, sometimes it feels that players are taking decisions on their own without caring about the positioning of the teammates. For reference, you can watch that one round where something was holding A on Pearl alone, a tight angle... and he slowly kept pushing towards the attackers where Meiy was waiting...

lets see who needs to go:

d4v41 no he is best players in term of control and discipline there and flexible to play as well as good caller
F0rsaken no he is amazing in his flex ability and what he needs to undo is leave IGL role to d4a41 or another dude who might replace them
mindfreak this guy although throws sometimes....sometimes saves them he is essential cause he is one of best controllers in APAC and amazing shooting skills

and now
JINGGG and something
1 of this 2 is problem...they both lack agent pool ...something aint playing good on initiator and jinggg on sentinel too

they are great on jett /raze but if they dont play their main role they are cooked....forsaken can also fill their role if they are gone so look like they are weakest link...what do you think?

maybe they need to bring the reyna and harbor comps back again maybe they need a real IGL BUT IDK....... I like all of them but stage 1 should be their last last LAST attempt to continue
as main 5 ...maybe offseason made them comfortable or something idk...if they dont succeed next changes needed asap...maybe Xcurate might have a shot( experienced IGL since tyloo times in CS...INSANE AWPER...didnt look that bad on T1 but the rooster as whole was not it) maybe here he can find success cause these guys need an veteran igl who also can cooperate with them)...hot take but they should try to sign him as 6th player and test him a bit

ngl i've never really got this argument not just because paper rex managed to get top 3 at 3 different international events in a row right after dropping their IGL, but because they kinda do have an IGL. from what i can tell they have F0rsakeN do most of the prerounding whilst having midround calls be done by the rest of the roster which seems to be pretty similar to both Sentinels and Gen.G did for their calling last year (i do not have exact behind the scenes access to all of the teams comms and even if i did I do not speak korean). it feels like people see that paper rex dont have a player who is called the IGL and assume the calling is just everyone saying a different call and its all chaos when i dont really think thats entirely the case.

It is because when you watch their comms, theyโ€™re all saying things like โ€œoh, itโ€™s my turn to call nowโ€
