Way too good right? I feel like the average tier 2 korean team can easily be tier 1 in apac atm. Damn they work hard it feels like.

in general yes but some players like primmie and forsaken and jemkin work really hard too on their mechanics its just the rest of the team that lets them down

That's how rewarding that is in good and healthy regions. It drives the entire region to do better.

Unlike in Americvck( more specifically NA) region where they have reputation of trolling in practice and scrims. Wasting time of other great teams and being unapologetic about it, mfs only care about social media engagement.

And then they'll go to officials after sniffing some illegal shvit and run down these teams with smoke kills, crazy timings and pure luck. Can't wait for their downfall( it has already started) lmao

yes it pushes apac in general to adapt and grow of fall out long term. It raises the standard for international teams too.

Once they figure out their confidence and other mental issues, they'll become completely unstoppable.

I said it before the start of the season, APAC is the best region this year, maybe it's an overstatement right now but I'm very confident that they'(APAC+China) will bridge the trophy count gap very very fast.

Since 2015, China has absorbed the all merits of Korean scene, the LPL has grown to rival the LCK, and the entire esports industry has become stronger. It didn't take long for that to happen. My question is, why couldn't Japan do the same?

Excuses maybe, but you can afford to dedicate your time in a better economy (kR/CN)
At least in my country personally, I'd rather work at a factory than risk my life in Valorant

But KR/CN ambition/effort is no joke tho

japan esport trend itself is a bit of anomaly, i mean sure they are big on tekken but their actual exposure to a more general genre of esport starts from apex so its more like they can gather the numbers but as ecosystem and environtment itself japan still considered young.
Compared with korea that starts from starcraft and china that starts from CF and dota, japan still have a long way to go.

have fps games ever really been popular in Japan? I know that they're very good at fighting games, i only rlly watch smash but I know they got aMSa in ssbu, miya acola raru and shuton in ssbu, and Evo Japan is a massive event, but I was under the impression that games like CSGO, and R6 never really caught on in Japan. I know that they're pretty good at Apex Legends tho, and valorant is obviously popular but it doesn't seem like they have a real legacy in fps esports the way EMEA KR and NA do with their history in CS, OW, R6, and other massive FPS esports

I remember Korean league players going to China in 2014 and laughing at how lazy and selfish Chinese players were. Just three years later, they won worlds two years in a row, and it became clear that you can't beat them unless you fight to the death. Valo is in its fifth year, and time has passed a bit more than the Japanese fans' excuses.

You mean SF and Smash Bros. Tekken has always been Korean (+ Pakistani more recently) stronghold.
