god bless man, was clearly jailed on liquid and now that he's free he's doing incredible

W BBL roster, feel like theyre gonna be insane with the sub back from what others are saying

o7 well played

for Fnatic, seems like losing Derke was NOT the play... while kajaak seems like a rookie and can def step it up, I don't like the comps they're cooking up and think they're too yoru reliant based on what they showed. Seems to me like their comps are either 1. Alfa go duelist with Kajaak and then we get 2 entries on attack, and we are able to make space and pressure, but end up with not enough util on defense (something that fnatic used to be incredible at), or 2. Kajaak is duelist and Alfa plays some init/senti/flex role, and on attack it feels like once Kajaak is dead, the team stalls too hard and we get some Boaster time rounds, like on Abyss. My personal thoughts are that maybe they make Alfa go Omen on some of these maps, which while it sounds crazy, would allow them to have a Tekken (tenz - zekken) type entry style, where even if they lose their duelist early, they'll still be able to take space on site and make plays on attack.

ALFA IS THE PROBLEM IN TERMS OF ROLE FOR ME SINCE LAST YEAR WHEN THEY SWITCHED TO YORU ISO AND HE FINDS THAT HE WAS COOKING ON ISO, SINCE THEN HE NEVER WENT BACK TO SENTI, BRO IS FORCING THEM TO WORK AROUND HIM EVEN THOUGH THEY PICKED KAJAAK FOR THE DUELIST ROLE ...

i think the main thing about the derke drop was money and alfa on more aggro roles make sense and with the fire power drop this team has with leo on his 4th pregnancy the have to make up for it with alfa duelist and he is talented enough to force it tbf and if he wanted duelist kaajak would've known he had to flex

i dont think alfa is commanding them to build around him dude he probably plays better on some duelist agents than kaajak does...

1st idea
valid but also i think letting boaster play omen and forcing him to entry so they can run a tekken but boaster plays like the TH style of entry and he just goes in and dies honestly if they let kaajak fuck around on attk with a awp and have boaster entry then backseat him might be a play too with my style idea they can run a tekken/EG style where 3 players can split entry so alfa gets to lurk kaajak gets to awp and boaster with his better mechs can fill in the gaps with chronicle and leo/crashies
2nd idea
play double orb on more maps map alfa plays clove/raze/senti chronicle/fill in the gaps in the comps boaster smokes and on solo raze maps kajaak clove or raze

abyss was really bad, we choked on split but I think the abyss comp sold the whole series. 2 smokes no senti + tejo is not the play imo

kaajak can aim but his decision making really needs improve, especially on Yoru he has a tendency to tp in too early which makes him impossible to trade

Abyss comp was fine I think, I just don't understand what they were thinking putting their (basically) 2nd entry of Alfa on Tejo, when he is a character that has util in his hands out all the time. Makes 0 sense to me for who was playing which roles. Also, Kajaak was getting hard gapped, and Crashies wasn't great on that map. Once crashies started rolling, they started to play well and only choked that last split HARD.

I would expect them to do pretty well though, because when they were good they played pretty well, but when they were bad it was HORRID, so there are probably some easy fixes to clear up there

this is why I think the comp is bad: the idea is to play slow, the classic EMEA style. But it just doesn't work when you don't have passive info with KJ or ideally Cypher. Tejo seems like a gimmick on this map, and imo is mid at best, but the fact that Alfa clearly wasn't comfortable on him made it straight up bad. Kaajak was often messing up his tp timings which led him to be untradeable, he could sometimes bail himself out because of his aim but I really wasn't impressed

I think the tejo is fine, but you need to play like a DRX 2022 for it to work. Crazy executes, 5 men running on site maybe 1 lurker, and util bombing sites to get space and force everyone out. Like for example the B site salvos on the side in front of danger combined with more util bombing and a real entry would make it a good comp. However, while it is probably a good comp, it's DEFINETLY not a Boaster comp.

But the issue with that is that is then you don't want double dome, it's not ideal for that
this comp tries to do too many things at once

either you commit to a slow comp or a fast comp, I think what they tried to do here gave us the worst of both worlds

they gotta stop putting alfa on agents like tejo/breach. Let him play senti and raze/iso where he can just turn off his brain and shoot people
