What does FNS think he does for a living?

Saw that interview where he is weeping about the fact that Tejo will be available just before kick-off and had to ask. In that article he talks about things "from a player-first perspective" and I just can't believe he thinks Player first is anyway how Valorant esports (or esports in general) should be run. He gets paid to entertain people as he plays a video game, how the players feel about a character being added couldn't mean any less. How do so many pros not realize they even have this job because its primary function is to entertain an audience?

It's still a valid concern
You may have a different opinion on Tejo being available but does not mean that what FNS said it wrong
Releasing Tejo a week before Kickoff makes many of the strats they practiced through months invalid
You can say,
"Erm, why not just ignore and continue doing those pre existing starts and ignore Tejo"
But that's not how it works
It's just a disadvantage from the competitor standpoint

is a pro player really an entertainer? some teams make players do 6h scrim blocks and 2h at least of tactics. then you go work on your mechanics in kovaakz, dm and ranked if you don't want to be left behind. Thats around 12h of trying to fully focus on the task in front of you and push yourself to be great. It doesn't matter what the task is, if there are tens of millions of others competing to be better than you your job will not be easy.

most people can't put in 5h in a row into ranked without going numb and not caring. do you think you could do that all day everyday but harder and with more pressure. maybe? do you think it would be easy? you can only answer yes if you really fucking love the game or if you are delusional

Of course he's whining about Tejo. Every time something new is even halfway decent he complains about it like he wants to just stay in 2022 forever. God forbid new agents be released that aren't dogshit.

Tbh I'm also surprised this many pros are complaining at all. I'm betting Tejo won't even be that popular in kickoff/stage 1, and much less so later if the Harbor buffs are substantial.

Even if he is an entertainer, you must treat entertainers with respect. Imagine I told a Broadway performer to change an entire scene in 2 weeks without discussing it with them. But it's their job! Nope, it's not good work life balance and disrespectful of their status as pro players. Eh, that puts it a bit harshly, I understand Riots position but also largely agree with FNS.
