can they still qualify to internationals when there are more teams (TE, XLG, WOL, NOVA) that can compete for the spots?
catNmouse [#3]they definitely can, maybe not bangkok but toronto and paris is likely
Bangkok is the trickiest international event to earn a spot in, I definitely see them only being 1 game away from qualifying then losing in the worst way possible

they are OT choke gods and the only one they won was vs GENG (16-14 map 1) They lost OTs to FUT (12-14 map 2), TH Shanghai (15-17 map 3) and TH again at champs (12-14 map 1 and 13-15 map 3)
so pretty much yeah that’s what most likely will happen

the Chinese crowd weren't having it either with how controversial GEN.G was in China (a part of it has been resolved at least)

the geng players were streaming and the chinese fanbase started to acknowledge how good they were and they’ve attracted more fans from that which makes me happy since they had all odds against them

weren't they sick too? I saw a post saying that some GEN.G players were sick partly bc of poor ventilation.....

yes

Nah that's usually Trace's thing
bees [#12]I think they lost their sauce cuz they were running more normal comps at champs 😔
they ran the same things unless you mean in the off season
shrike- [#14]yall are really sleeping on fpx
they still have life and autumn, who are still top 3 in their role in china, aaaay is also one of the most cracked aimers in the region
aaaay is cracked but he really needs to work on util

It's a hard pill to swallow that Lysoar isn't in FPX anymore
AAAAY will need to step up bc Lysoar's impact is a huge factor to that Shanghai and Champs run
cloudberry [#11]Nah that's usually Trace's thing
FPX are more well known at least internationally for doing this against better teams.....
and it seems like TE broke their curse, they have found a bit of momentum

I hope the curse is gone. I want TE to do well 🥲

TE has a solid chance to qualify, I'd say they even push EDG to 5 maps when they meet in the gf 🙏
Everyone seems to have them at #4 right now and you really can't argue otherwise until we see them play again. Their offseason was really the worst for any of the top teams in China. EDG is likely to stay on top, but Wolves, Trace and possibly even XLG look like strong contenders to outperform FPX.
I'm not seeing the NOVA hype yet btw, I think they'll be a mid table team. They'll win against the lower tier teams but they're known to struggle against the hard hitters.

Fully agree with everything you just said
