idk anything about cs but
faceit lvl 10 is 10% of the players on faceit
which is like ascendant level no?
radiants are 0.1 or less
makes sense right? or nah
edit : actually not even ascendant its like diamond
Anzaldinho [#10]3000+
thank you for answering, would appreciate if you would take the time to answer my other questions :)
1243 [#13]is this all time, i saw this but I think it's current
yeah it's not all time
honestly i have no idea who had the highest elo in faceit all time
has to be someone between monesy donk xantares kyousuke gokushima
1243 [#4]also what's like the highest elo ever on faceit, it's m0nesy right?
nvm it's gokushima 7600
level 10 just starts at 2000 elo, and I think stats from CS GO claim that there is around 2% of lvl 10 out there
What is named radiant in valorant is just top 1000 rank on Faceit. Whenever you get a top 1000 spot in the elo ladder, you get a banner on your faceit profile. afaik highest elo was 5k by donk in cs2, 7k by monesy on csgo, but Faceit has only recently started resetting elo every 6 months so there is no point in actually getting 7k elo or higher

you mean you can't get 7000 now? i don't understand what you mean by "no point in getting 7k" sorry im not a serious cs player :(
also this says 10.5% of the players are level 10, maybe i misread or something because i skimmed through it

basically when you get way above the competition (around 5k elo) you almost always play for +12/+15 and not +25, and you lose -35 or -38. Basically you need to win 3 after 1 loss just to make it all back. Going from 5k to 7k would need around a 90% win rate and +133 wins. Everyone above 4k from the last season gets dropped to around 3.3k and then you need to get 3.7k in 6 months with that massive elo drop after a certain threshold.

so like it's harder now, appreciate it. thank you for answering!

np, faceit changed a lot after cs2 got released, elo abuse got way harder now. Fun fact, current complexity AWPer, hallzerk, has the longest recorded win streak on FACEIT with 136 games. Problem is that he and his buds were abusing the high elo faceit by sweating 2-3 maps and getting matched against lower elo. They would also dodge anyone who could beat them in skill just to farm the win streak
if you think level 10 is just diamond you are wrong, back when i grind CS a lot of people on Level 7+ know the basic things in the game. But in valorant below immortal lobby people still dont know how to use proper utils, some of diamond ascendent get carried by their friends. also if ur on above level 8 there's gonna be a good comms out there.

not even comparing skill level, just the distribution and disparity of the ranks
can you read
also cs doesn't have any util to use, so comparing util usage is stupid since you don't know how cs players use util, unless you think cs smokes and grenades = valorant utility which is just wrong
btw there are people who get carried and boosted till low 2000 is cs too so not an argument
1243 [#2]not saying which game is harder blah blah blah, valorant is unpredictable and tactically way harder than the same 25 year old lineups and same 15 year old site exec, obviously cs is mechanically harder
You werenāt wrong when you said you knew nothing about cs
IAmRichYouAreNot [#26]You werenāt wrong when you said you knew nothing about cs
it's fine i accept that I don't know much about cs but im not comparing skill level, i also believe the truth that valorant is much tactically dense and hard as there are around 40 unique abilities per round which can be used in multiple array of ways which is way more complex than any cs site exec.

I am decently high level in both games and dont really have the attention span to explain everything, so heres a video that I agree for the most part about both games

the thing about valorant abilities is not the fact they are harder to use or something it's just another factor to consider making it more complex. any given utility at any point of time can change the game which makes EXTRA unpredictable and increases the stakes with which you make your decisions, agree on the part that it helps clear site and therefore is easier to play the game, but the debate is not about that, it is about the unpredictable and increase in stakes and the value excellent decisions hold over mediocre ones.
also the video you listed is made by an old csgo players who indulged a little in valorant, it's going to biased

I mean he played both games while you didnt, so again how is his judgement is biased but yours isnt?
Also played BOTH games, I find CS more unpredictable because in Valorant you understand all the agents in a match and what they can do, so you can expect things they can or cant do. Also with key roles like sentinels and initiators, it also takes some unpredictability out such as eliminating many lurk plays in the game and finding information easier on site so pretty much positions are known. Also you are overplaying the ability aspect, at the end if the day it comes to who can shoot someone in the head faster in this fps game like CS

im not saying im not biased, im saying his argument is wrong, i have played cs too :) the ability aspect is definitely not over played.
did you know there are over '2.432902 quintillion' ability combos in a single round of valorant. sure it is not that complex in reality but it's still a lot more complex than cs, might i suggest you are undermining the complexity of valorant since you like cs more? btw I have more fun playing cs than val :)
IAmRichYouAreNot [#29]I am decently high level in both games and dont really have the attention span to explain everything, so heres a video that I agree for the most part about both games
What ranks are you?
I'm tryna play more CS
I'm asc in val so I wanna know how far I can get with just mechanics (ik it'd be relatively lower since the avg CS player probably has better mechanics)
Aayan [#34]What ranks are you?

nah, you'll be fine, you probably just need to learn counterstrafing and crosshair placement on cs maps, also spray control, movement is a little different but you'll get used to it, on the other hand since you play val your taps and burst are probably better than the average cs player, so you can shoot heads better

If you can start off which part of his argument is wrong instead of saying āhes wrongā maybe we can discuss them. Also just because you played some matches against some 40yr old dads from CS1.6 silvers enjoying the game on the weekends, isnt close to enough to give you a high level aspect of the game, I have 4000hrs in CS and 1.7hrs in Valorant while the guy on the video has way more and plays at a high level.
Again like I said previously, the way CS and Valorant tactically plays out is different. You would know that if you played both games at a high level or at least understand it watching pro games. I suggest you watch some breakdown games of rounds from pro players, you would be surprised how much tactics goes into one util. I recommend Stewie2k, hes pretty good at explaining super small details that can change rounds.
Also, it is not about throwing random ability combinations together like youre making soup, I find that number pretty pointless as AGAIN both games utility plays out differently. CS you have to be smart of how/when it is to throw flashes/smokes/mollies. Not saying Valorant isnt the same, but in CS this is way more important since there is a limited supply of them. Also, the utility may be simple, but it can be super complex with layers with tactics over two decades. If it was so simple, you would think people would come up ways to counter them by now. I like the quote āsimplicity is complex.ā
With Valorant, most agents has similar utility like in CS with exceptions like tp, info finding, antilurk, etc. Some agents even have their abilities stripped like Reyna without mollies and smokes and even her flash is mid. So again, I think the utility almost evens out with Valorant having bit more impact due to how dogshit limited the movement/gunplay is, so the abilities have to compensate for it.
Also, it doesnt matter which game you or I like more for this discussion. I am simply putting both aspects of the game on the table for you. You can decide for yourself which game you like better.

so the summation of this is you think cs is more complex than val? i just skimmed and that is what I can gather

im all for details but this is too long, my tiktok brain cannot handle :(

That explains everything, expected tbh. In short, CS and Valorant tactics are different, more types of util doesn't equal harder

Also I would watch this video. It shows how simple a Mirage window smoke in CS can be so impactful. Honestly one of my favorite videos.

generalization much?

i mean you're clearly biased towards csgo so..
You have to remember that Faceit is a separate matchmaking system with a smaller player pool of people that tend to be better at the game. Youāre taking away the 2 million burgers stuck in iron. Also thereās no rank decay or reset, so a lot of people grind super hard for a level 10 account then stop playing/get a smurf account.
Iād say faceit level is the top 0.5% of the playerbase, around equal to mid-high immortal.
I was faceit level 7 and global elite in CS, and that translated to being peak ascendant 2
Iād say in terms of skill level it goes
Ascendant < Immortal = Faceit lvl 10 < Radiant < FPL-C
uwukitten [#46]bro is trying to make it sound like he's asking a simple statistical question out of curiosity when it's clear he's trying to say val is harder/better šæ
no, i do think val is harder tactically but I was just curious, you can see that from my other questions
also stated the question was about rank distribution and disparity and not skill level but cs frogs always here to defend their game

Well the point of ranks is to compare skill level so thatās kinda baked in lmao
Danny [#50]Well the point of ranks is to compare skill level so thatās kinda baked in lmao
i guess but im not talking about cross game skill level, like "skill that translates between both games" which leads people to compare ranks between val and cs, if that makes sense.

Makes zero sense, especially when you say stuff like āfaceit level 10 is like diamondā
Danny [#52]Makes zero sense, especially when you say stuff like āfaceit level 10 is like diamondā
so the rank distribution between faceit and diamond, like the percentage of people which reach the rank which can be further translated into other things but I'm not going into that.

Comparing rank distribution between a third party matchmaking system and a gameās primary system is extremely pointless

you're debaiting about the tactics and abilities/utils in the game and I explain the util in the game you have no clue about, but it seems you're just a clown with negative comprehension skills

yes that has been pointed out by other people which skewed my correlation

sure, cs "util" = valorant util for sure
1243 [#59]sure, cs "util" = valorant util for sure
imagine if you had to coordinate 4 sova lineups with a group of randoms any time you wanted to take site at a high level
Valorant util takes a LOT less skill. You literally click on a map or fly a drone and it does everything for you
