sayonara debuts on Gentle Mates in January 2025 (no regulation for age in this universe), sweeps masters bangkok with 1.70 rating, dominates the splits as a player but his team kinda drops, his team falters at masters 2 (where they only got to cuz of him being bat shit insane), almost doesn't attend champs, clutches the LCQ, gets to Champs, shit stomps every single team on his way, puts up 1.50 rating and takes home the Champs, Champs MVP, and breaks the records for youngest masters and champs winner all in one year

CS doesn't have a set calendar like RIot do cuz there are more Tournament ORganizers, it's not just one, there are IEM events, blast events, PGL events and other TOs as well. But basically there are 2 seasons in a year, each set in between the major (so January to June and July to December) There are no kick-offs or stages, just an endless spree of events. The most Prestigous ones for next year are IEM Katowice Febraury (sort of like Masters 1), Cologne (masters 2) and 2 Majors, as well as the highest paying events for next year.
The era Astralis had (with Dupreeh as one of the players and zonic as the coach which are the names he mentioned above) wasn't determined by individual brilliance. They were just so much ahead of the meta especially in 2018/19 that no other team could get close. It was already practically a win getting double digits against prime Astralis in csgo with mr15. gla1ve and zonic revolutionized the tempo of the game and the utility metas and it took long enough for other teams to catch on to them. They have by a long shot the most dominant era in cs history, but they never had the most skilled players, neither of them of 5 ever won a best player of the year award, no one stood out, it was collective work. S1mple was far ahead during this same time from an individual point of view, but NAVI couldn't beat Astralis on tactical play.

Let me explain:
In Valorant the Duelist are the star players, in CS they aren't. Coz the duelist role in CS is something like the Info-Initiator. Those guys in CS get the info of the bombsite so the rest of the players can enter based on his info. Entry fraggers in CS usually get a kill and die after. They are the scapegoat so the trader (Rifler or awper) gets most of the kills. Those are the star players in CS.
