UNTIL I BOUGHT THE WRONG PSU AND NOW IM SPENDING 400 ON A SINGULAR PSU
SuperRoss [#2]lmao
been there
everything else was pretty easy though tbh, even the fan chaining and setup; just need to do PSU now and AIO
frappzlul [#4]400??? surely not usd right!?!?!?
180 for the old one and now a 250 for the ATX powersupply, 400 in total :(
aquaa018 [#5]so research the correct items for your pc
maybe that could help before you bought the thing
i did, everything even used PCPARTPICKERS and it didnt say it was incompatible
kalayav_n [#6]180 for the old one and now a 250 for the ATX powersupply, 400 in total :(
can't you refund the 180 one?
Yes you should build your own for these few reasons:
what went wrong in your case is either you didn't do enough research (clearly you didn't and its okay) or didn't consult any friend that has experience with it (I doubt you have any friends since you're here)
Ryuzaki [#9]Yes you should build your own for these few reasons:
- Pre-builts are not fairly priced and mostly are scams to sell shitty configs
- Building your own pc ofc helps you connect with your pc more ykwim
- Building by yourself gives you the knowledge you will need while upgrading

unnecessary hate, secondly yes i didnt do enough research; i did like 1 hour worth of research for CPU GPU MEMORY FANS and STORAGE just to find out PSU is the most important one π . thirdly we will own fnatic in ONE tournament
kalayav_n [#3]everything else was pretty easy though tbh, even the fan chaining and setup; just need to do PSU now and AIO
i'd suggest pcpartpicker, it's of great help if you're unsure two parts are compatible

alr thanks man ill def try it, worse case scenario i just use the powersupply for a sf case
kalayav_n [#16]how would i ship it back?

chrlxz [#21]sometimes u dont even have to ship back they just give u the money
damn shit π probably a UK perk though as US is hella greedy and have done like doordash scams and allat
h1gh_fall [#23]my only error was getting a ryzen 5 4500 instead of a 3500x... at least i can upgrade later anyways
its okay

shzuo [#25]Always buy a PSU with 80 Plus Gold or higher and sum the power usage of your CPU and GPU to know which one buy.
bro 80 plus is kinda fake, you should buy psu's by their reputation and sometimes not even that, i used a KCAS 400w with a gtx 1660 super for months and it didn't explode
