winning trophy doesnt make you the goat you idiot, especially if you fall off after. Its about the consistency year in and year out mako had while every other controller he faced at some point fell off or dipped drastically in performance. Mako will win a trophy one day its a matter of when.

players perform better when surrounded by experienced peers compared to rookies. "he better frag out because he is with rookies" doesn't make sense. Look at Karon, he mentioned that Munchkin taught him a lot and other experienced players helped him on big stages. MF has been playing with the same 4 players since 2022, its obvious he will frag out from time to time, surrounded by players that are used to each other.

Not to mention it’s an offseason tournament, where mindfreak has a somewhat stable core that’s been together for years while MaKo is only now building a core with the new DRX Roster. Not to mention that more than likely, DRX would’ve won if they banned pearl instead of Haven but the coaches probably wanted them to get more reps in on pearl, since they have been playing haven a lot
