I'm not very eligible to answer this question because I've got Asian roots but I think there's a pleasant difference in both European and Asian flavors. While European food does indeed include lighter tastes (except Germany those guys use so much salt), I'd argue that it's ingrained in the history and culture of Europe as bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients is heavily emphasized.
However, I do personally prefer more of a kick to my food, but to be honest, it depends heavily on mood and context (ex. I would neither like a pasta that has a punch nor a tasteless hot pot)

tldr: both are good in their own ways :)

Yes it does. Especially some dishes from regions such as Adana, Hatay, Mersin, Şanlıurfa etc.
As for me, I prefer asian food too. Although whether you count Turks as European is up to you, personally i don't care about such a label.

I'm talking about the food from north of Europe, like UK, the nordic countries, baltic, probably Germany, many eastern countries too. Those are indeed very bland foods, unlike around the mediterranean in France, Italy, Spain, etc you find a lot more variety and flavor

It's many factors, I think weather is the main one, colder places go for warmer foods and they tend to be more limited Ig

Asian food is quite vague, Asia is huge
I live in an Asian household in a Western country so I'd say I eat and like both.
Not all Asian food is flavourful and not all Western food is bland
