I blame Mushoku Tensei. It made the Naro writers think that everyone can write a fantasy novel. I hope whoever takes over the world makes it illegal to write medieval fantasy novels unless they have read all the classics over a hundred times.

I couldn't get into TBATE after all the hype it was bringing. Questionable decisions by characters and these are the only thing I remember after last reading it years ago.
