If you know anything about Engh, it's that he likes to do these grand, large-scale, open-entry tryouts then slowly filters down candidates to the few that consistently outperform their peers.

He takes a very meritocratic approach, so if he signs someone you know they are GOOD

If those meticulous tryouts keep ending with Magnum as the best IGL available....then Im pretty sure i know why we have been a 1 team region since 2022

good igls are just hard to come by lol. it takes years for a player to become a good igl

plus KC doesn't exactly have first pick on a lot of players either; they don't have nearly as much money to spend as Fnatic, NAVI, or TL.

It's a good approach regardless, but one of its main strengths is being able to suit the needs of a tight budget that can't spend too much on recognized talents--which there are a lot of

think his point is that from what we saw, if set strats dont go their way, KC has not been able to mid-round well at all

Blaming magnum is so lazy I think. He’s in a team of non vocal players. If you play with Tomaszy, n4rrate, sh1n and marteen I don’t think it matters that much who your igl is. 95% of tier 1 igls wouldn’t be able to make that team strong in the mid round

who’s the quiet one in there? i think n4rrate is the literal opposite if you’ve watched his watch parties

Like there’s no one experienced on the team to help with mid round calls. I’m kinda guessing abt it but all of these guys are tier 2 duelists except sh1n and magnum. And they’re all young and haven’t been the experienced members on a team before.

Blaming magnum is lazy to me because not even fns or Saadhak make every call, but they expect magnum to

he was the second shotcaller this year

Everytime people bring up tomaszy in Neil stream, he says hes the most vocal duelist hes ever trialed, so you are just guessing...i dont know why people try defending the undefendable, the only instances KC looked top tier was when doing set plays, every time it came down to midrounding KC looked like the worse team in EMEA and heavily relied on individuals, not an opinion, just a fact

Okay and he wasn’t on duelist this year. Being vocal as a duelist and as a sentinel are different things. Again it all ties in to people expecting too much from magnum, I don’t think 2024 Karmine corp was a team that was going to succeed from the first place.

Incredible player honestly. One of like 3 mena players that deserve to be tier 1. Great stats, great aim, vocal, flexible.

he has 3rd best vlr rating in mena. so i guess he cant be too bad.

mena had a solid showing at ascension too so they deserve a representative in vct

ENGH as a coach comes down to "one man's trash is another man's treasure"

He sees talent and potential where no other coaches sees it

If ENGH signed a no-name ranked player, I'd trust him regardless

a no name ranked player… reminds me of a certain team that recently won a masters 🤔
