I feel like geng getting grouped by sen messed up everyone's perspective on what teams are on top(other than the grand finalist). Personally my perspective on the teams got fucked by it, especially when trying to consider team of the year. Yeah geng made all 3 international lans and won 1, but they also got grouped by the team that won one of them too and that team made it top 4, which would seem like the better team but then you remember they didn't go to Shanghai. Maybe this is just off-season messing with my brain already who knows

this is a kinda weird year to try and rank the teams
EDG having bad showings at both masters and then winning champs
GEN.G looking great for both masters and then bombing out at champs
TH looking good at all big events but never pulling out a win
SEN peaking early then dipping then having a small resurgence
it's gotta be between TH and GEN.G for the top spot, just depends what you prioritize when ranking. placements, consistency, etc.
for me it's probably in order TH GEN.G EDG SEN then everyone else
GenG bombing out at Champs was cause they were burned out, had played the most matches so more footage available on them and not much time for new strats and don't give me bullshit for this cause u all have this same reason for sen bad performance in stage 1 and GenG still won cause the stage 2 cause the other teams honestly looked weak against their aim
They managed mostly in regular season performing bad. but Geng fked up when they wanted to win regionals. If they give up regional playoffs only qualifying champions, they will most probably get out of group. actually this cannot be done for Americas teams because higher and mid tier team competitiveness is high
Nahh GenG didn’t burnt out, SEN just had one hell of a series, winning all the clutches, pistols, and bonuses. GenG didn’t even played that poorly if you look at their macro calls, like do you rmb any moment of them being outcalled significantly? It was more like they lost almost every duels and clutches and thats just how it is. As for SEN burnt out, people were saying that becuz SEN players themselves said they were a lil burnout, but GenG didn’t say that themselves, so don’t anyhow make up excuse for them. They lost simply becuz they weren’t shooting as well as SEN that day.
