Who tf says kamo and starxo will be on the team next year. Building from 0 a project, just like TH or KC did last year

Oh makes sense. KOI should pick up a T2 NA IGL import to make their team world class alongside patitek.

Don't mind at all. It's a little complex so in order to understand I'm gonna have to give you the full context of the history of KOI and it might be long af so sorry but here we go xD.

KOI was created not too long ago. 2022 was their first ever full year, absolutely massive since they 1 due to Ibai, but very unexperienced so they started slow only with Valorant and LOL tier 2.

For 2023 Riot accepted them into VCT but wanted to grow more so they merged with Rogue so that they could now be in LEC. But the merger was a complete disaster, it was broke from very early on, the management was disastrous and Ibai even ended up having to pay 2 mill out of his pocket in Salaries because Rogue even quit paying. That being said the roster was good, I believe they underachieved a lot.

During the offseason of 2023 while making the roster for 2024 Rogue and KOI decided to split up, and they didn't even know who was gonna keep the spot or who had to pay for anything so Barbar literally couldn't make a roster and obviously the season turned out a disaster

But after the split up, since as I said KOI was very inexperienced as small they decided to merge again, but this time with someone they already knew. Movistar Riders, arguably one of the most successful orgs in Spanish history, this is specially good because they had what KOI was missing, a good sporting structure built through years that had been successful before. On top of that they also merged with MAD who also brings reliable money and the LEC spot

Unlike the other merger this one has already been very successful, making Worlds with 4 rookies in LOL or making the last Major in Cs. The people in charge of those projects are for the first time gonna be also in charge of KOI Valorant 2025 so this is the first time they can operate with money, time, and already proven people behind it

Hope it makes sense sorry if it's too long lmao

In the first year of VCT, KOI faced financial difficulties because it was acquired by Infinite Reality (Rogue), which was struggling financially at the time. For 2024, KOI left Infinite Reality and joined forces with Mad Lions and Movistar Riders to form Movistar KOI. However, this merger didn’t take place until January 2024, leaving insufficient time to recruit top-tier players. Additionally, Rogue complicated matters by signing the 2023 players and coach to unsustainable contracts. This year, with the combined resources of all three organizations and new sponsorships, they have better financial backing and more funds allocated to the Valorant team. Also, some of the existing contracts are set to expire.

Honestly might not be a bad decision if the team gets completely rebuilt. Personally I'd like to see him replace Kicks on VIT or maybe if N4rrate leaves KC he could his replacement.
