honestly this might be the worst champs since 2021. i was hoping this one would be really good going into it but not only is the production ass the teams are even worse. every team who has done well at this champs besides edg is either ass or in the worst form they have been in all year. heretics were better in shanghai i think thats pretty obvious atp, lev is utter dogshit genuinely nothing about their teamplay, strats, or synergy is fun to watch they are all just dming, sen were a shadow of their former selves. and everyone else disappointed and looked way better regionally. these teams would get clapped by Shanghai GenG, Shanghai Heretics, Shanghai G2, Madrid Sen, Tokyo Fnatic, and Champs EG. hopefully the grand final is good but i think this is easily the worst event of the year both in terms of hype and skill.

heretics might have been better in your eyes but there’s zero difference to be honest, 100t got shit on sunset they didn’t even bother to try on that map for whatever reason and g2 got fucking shit on by TH so hard when we know that’s not how they play, shanghai g2 would always have slow ass starts that got stopped by the only other actual good team (asides from TH) in shanghai in the form of geng, these kind of slow startups just won’t get them anywhere especially if a team can shut them down
also doesn’t help that leaf doesn’t like playing cypher lol. btw i like g2 so don’t take this as a hate post but give respect to edg they deserve it even if they don’t win champs
The fact that FUCKING TRACE made playoffs and GenG did not says enough about the level of play at the tournament. Don't get me wrong EDG is a very good team, BUT FINALS OF CHAMPIONS THROUGH UPPER BRACKET GOOD?!?!?!
Bring back EG and FNATIC from 2023 and they both make finals without dropping a map except to each other
