valorant is not carrying hard, from all the games from Riot(or in general) nothing is as close as LoL. The money, the audience and the players

Lol I don't want to actually the only thing that stops me from criticizing him much more than this is because I hate to be in his position, I see what is I percieve to be a problem and I voice my opinion on vlr. I prefer doing just that tbh.

And Jake sin's about to piss off a region that's carrying valorant rn. It's bound to happen sooner or later. I love vcj and I hate seeing that the region is being disregarded like this

OP new champs are the norms nowadays so not really, but i kinda dislike how they manage the regional league just like valorant now. we don't get wild card no more. also, fuck those WR team for fucking over the whole SEA region.

How changing the format and make less number of games can force TO to change the venue ? Isnt a visa Issue ?

How changing the format and make less number of games can force TO to change the venue ? Isnt a visa Issue ?

It has to do with the number of days a venue can be used. Normaly a double elim is one or 2 days longer than single elim , meanwhile rage probably scheduled with the venue to be just enough for single elim not double. Also the venues had to be scheduled 1 year earlier so changing venue was never a good idea.

Visa issue goes both ways, Bren Esports failed to get a visa for Masters Berlin back in 2021. Visa issue is part of the problem but ultimately venue was the backbreaker.

The new format have less game than the previous one I think, because groups were in double elim

Youre confused
CL Japan does not have any custom rules. The rule youre upset about is a rule EVERY region has which allows Pacific players to be considered residents after playing in a CL for 2 splits.
Imports going to a region with money has nothing to do with rules. Its the orgs that will import players to raise their chances of winning. You can see this in other regions too (in EMEA 5 out of 10 regions have more imports than Japan).
No one is abusing import rules.

And no, the rules in JP wont change because of a Mongolian team. To be clear this whole problem is on Rage and their lack of clear communication. This is not Riots problem. Either:

  1. The rules allowed them to play in JP and the confusion is just a mistake
    or
  2. They wont get let in and will have to qualify in another sub-region.

Regardless of what happens Riot had no part in it.

Youre just out of touch with the rest of the scene. Japan isnt getting any worse treatment than anyone and are subject to the exact same rules as everyone else.
Any custom rules they have were decided by Rage themselves (although none of your problems are based on custom rules Rage have made).

Blaming Jake Sin for orgs importing korean players is an odd choice.
Japan has a high level of imports because it has a high level of investment, they can attract good international players with good salaries.
All of the import rules and regulations are standard across the VCL leagues.

And you are getting annoyed at a region that has been completely outcasted by riot games throughout its lifetime finally getting some exposure into the t2 scene. Mongolia was stunted as a region because of how riot approached the nation, it only stayed alive due to strong efforts from the Mongolian esports community.

Besides, VCL japan is getting expanded with more teams.
Compared to SEA which has now merged 6 sub regions.

wait, you're not wrong. but what's the point of changing location then? 😅

I mean rage even mentioned " number of days" as one of their reasons. The way Rage explained them backing off from ascension basically pointed at riot for all the mess.

you're confusing EMEA and Pacific, I believe I mentioned this before, but in EMEA importing is considered a standard practice but in Pacific it is not. out of all of the subregions in pacific only Japan and South Asia had this issue to this scale. To be clear, they do follow the rules, but that doesn't mean the rules are perfect.

Cmiiw Rage are supposed to handle the equipment going in. The server and the competition all are still handled by riot.

The scene is growing and I can't have imports impeding this development. The scene has it's peak growth and once we've pass that there's no going back to that peak. I can't afford to let VCJ fumble their opportunity.
One of my main fear is that the imports ended up monopolizing the scene leaving no room for growth for the local players. I can't have that

VCL Japan are allowed for more teams because the scene is lucrative enough to justify that .
SEA scene doesn't carry the same weight as Japan in terms of viewerships and that's one of the major reasons why Japan managed to stay while SEA merged. If Japanese scene doesn't carry tons of view like what happened in Sp2 the scene would be merged with Korea.

import rules are all according to VCL standards but when only 2 your teams have full locals, I believe that there needs to be an evaluation.

If the scene ended up ruining VCJ then yeah I'm hella pissed. VCJ had to house russians and Koreans just because their scene isn't good enough. Now we had to house mongolian too? This is what I meant saying VCJ being " trash can"

Then discussing the rules rather than making a post complaining that Riot is treating japan unfairly. The very thing youre asking for is favoritism rather than equal treatment.

Cmiiw Rage are supposed to handle the equipment going in. The server and the competition all are still handled by riot.

This would be unusual (japan being the only region where this would be the case) but if it is true and they dont have any part in the rules/format then I apologize to Rage. I just assumed they'd have the same structure as everyone else.

And of course you can be critical of orgs importing and advocate for them to stay national. I personally think its going to stunt the growth of a region, but im sure as hell not going to stop you. Thats 100% your thing.
Problem is your post wasnt about that. Your post complained about riot treating CL Japan unfairly.
