I know they're getting trashed pretty hard but do consider how much easier it must've been for them to lock in vs a team like TH which they were 90% sure they lose to in a non elimination match, as opposed to fighting with their year on the line. I know they're pros and they should be adjusted, but nerves are the biggest enemy in any form of competition and this team is still pretty damn young

In any other bracket, they likely find their way into playoffs. Unlucky tbh

Too much logic for vlr, it’s a form for video games so most the people here are like 14

True and anyone whose competed in any sport or hell even video game know that its always slightly easier to play against teams and people you know are better than you, because its less pressure you're putting on yourself to win

Yep I defo agree here, they were also in a down turn of form since the tragic Shanghai result. It happens

really good point but personally my main issue is that fundamentally they've looked pretty shaky the entire year, and it was obvious to anyone watching CN that they were the same exact team that they were at shanghai, which made them pretty iffy up to this point. like at no point in split 2 did they look "better"

FPX are a very good team, that's not the debate. It's not even a case of nerves. There's zero reason to change a comp that you know is very good and put your mechanical best player (who won you Lotus against GENG ffs) onto Viper.

I feel like they didn't have as much pressure during the first half of Map 1, but it messed with their mental because they didn't win a single round in the second half. They also lowkey trolled their comp during Lotus. Why are you putting your duelist on Viper for all agents? Either way, FPX is a decent team all around, hope to see improvement next year. o7

on god bro. Trace and EDG looked 1000x more stable.

FPX on the otherhand even if they improved a tiny bit on stability and fundamentals they wouldve won vs heretics and possibly upset geng like heretics...
