Should the Ascension format be standardised?

Right now we have:

Americas - 3 sub regions each have 2 teams qualify

EMEA - Multiple sub regions have 1 team qualify each, the 2nd place teams play for an additional slot in playoffs

APAC - 1 team from each sub region, single elim in playoffs (this is crazy)

I think I like the way EMEA does it the most, giving the 2nd seed something to play for but not outright rewarding it like Americas.

you would have to make all the regions have the same amount of well reigions

I think the way MEMEA does it is best aswell but there is a problem with the regions. Americas has less and APAC has more, so I guess its a setuation where they decided to compromise to make things easier. I dont really enjoy watching challengers anyway since its more about the few big single matches rather than the process of making it there.

Latam has 4 teams, latam north and south winners plays against each others for 2 spots before the ascension to join the 2 best teams of Brazil and NA

The issue lies in the differing region quantity and geography.
Almost the entirety of the EMEA ascension tournament is played online, which would not be something that anyone in the americas/asia would want.
